Wow. How did that happen?

You guys could seriously do better with that athletic money.
Alabama would kill it if they could somehow get on the same page.

They're terrible. How does a football program that is so successful not generate enough money to hire a competent basketball coach?

This wasn't the current AD's hire, and while I think Avery was valuable in terms of getting people to care after Grant just shite all over anyone's interest we need to give byrne the chance to go make a good bball hire.

Just a pathetic outing. Had a big lead early and let it go.
There's some decent players on the team. They just have no direction

Go throw a bunch of money at Hoiberg.

Honestly would be fine with that, Avery is just so stuck on his high pick and roll action and it doesn't make sense at all with this team.

I thought Avery had promise. Unless he can turn the Titanic around he should be let go at the end of the season. This team is bad.

Ga State beat Georgia also.

It's not the money. Alabama spends big on basketball for no results.
Avery Johnson is making 2.9 million and in the top 15 in salary in the entire country

It's not that we couldn't hire a competent coach. It's that we didn't.
Bill battle literally, literally did nothing as ad. He did EVERYTHING he could not to fire Anthony Grant because he didn't want to fool with a search. He was TOLD to fire grant and had somebody call Johnson and offered him the job. Byrne won't do that. He will hire a good coach without a doubt.
When u have a team where starters leave to be backups at other schools, there are cultural problems that can't be described.

Avery is too buddy buddy with players and would rather be friends than disciplinarian.
Players have zero discipline or effort.
Fire him and let Pelphrey finish the season

Bama spends too much money on their football players. Can’t afford to buy basketball players too!

The 12:00 SportsCenter led with the bama game, then talked about Meyer.

Bama wasted their time going after Greg Marshall. I still think Archie Miller at Dayton would've been more realistic.
Right now the dream would be Eric Musselman, but my realistic target is Patrick Beilein. Hoiberg doesn't like to recruit, and I'm not sure the south has the kind of gym rats with high ball iq that Hoiberg can find in the Midwest.
