Well #2 is the reason that drive got blown by Bama. On that 3rd and 2 at OU own 40 right before the 3rd quarter end, when Mateer got chased back and threw it to WR at 1st down marker. That play took 8 seconds to develop. #2 was there the entire time just standing. He could’ve easily positioned himself between Mateer and WR, but was caught being a spectator. He plays that right, it’s 4th and 2, potential punt, and Bama to maybe go up 17. It’s the little things.
