Oh yeah... he must have really learned that since going to Bama though, because his Michigan State and LSU teams were among the MOST penalized teams.

Richt is a pussy, is it really all that surprising your ol/dl aren't that dominant? It shouldn't be.

Given the propensity to obesity in the south, it is more than a given that 1 in every 4 or 5 fans of every fan base is probably a mouth breather.

Alabama runs the ball quite a bit.

If the O line can hold with impunity, why did we give up so many sacks?

Dumbass fans are dumbass.

I know right. I was shocked they threw the flag on that play.

We must be rising in the ranks of the SEC, we had a pretty decent game called against Bama. Of course, you didn't NEED their help, but that is another story.

Of course the flags which were thrown against them were pretty blatant and there was definitely holding going on. They didn't call it on us either when they definitely could have though...

Impunity means without punishment- i.e a flag. Just because an OL is holding, doesn't exclusively mean that a DL cannot make a play or get by a hold. Hell I am pretty sure that Anderson tries to hold every play and still gets beat pretty regularly.

And yes, a heavy run game usually results in less holding calls, although in my personal opinion, it also usually involves much more actual holding to help a RB to the edge.

I don't know enough about what exactly constitutes holding, but I do know Bama defensive backs get away with murder on a consistent basis.

If Bama played under NFL rules and under NFL officiating, which is remarkably better than college officiating, the refs should just pick up the ball and move it, on average, twenty yards per offensive drive. They grab receivers an insane amount during routes, and they NEVER get called.

Lots of crying in this thread.

Sounds like Alabama doesn't win because we recruit 5 star players and teach good technique.

It's because we get all the calls.

Well, I'll just have to settle for that.

With all the expansion going on, maybe some of you guys could move to a conference that treats you better.

Crybabies.

Shaw gives explicit orders each year to not call holding on Alabama. Bahahahahahahahahahaha.

That is why we won the SEC last year. Hey wait a minute.

I have no problem with admitting that Bama has a better OL than UGA. Hell, I imagine most teams do. However, I did watch the UF-Bama contest and parts of the Bama-PSU game and thought that Bama, as always, is well-practiced in the art of non-obvious holding. Hell, I wish that UGA would follow suit, but Anderson can barely figure out who to block. ( Actually, he usually can't.)

There you go. Your team needs to get better, your coaches need to get better, period. Like Alabama. Stop bitching to anyone but Georgia and their, by your own ommission, inferior players and coaches.
