Yeah, while I care about how these guys do in the pros (and certainly want them to succeed), I'll root against them if they play against my team(s). I'll cheer against Derrick Henry (and hope he fumbles away every carry) if he plays against the Falcons, and to a lesser extent for me anyway, the Saints.
Once they are gone, they are making a living doing a job. Period.
It is just like anything else in life, once you are out of school, adulthood takes its place. Many people who I work with (and support daily) are AU grads., while many that I compete against in business are Bama grads. My pastor and my son's Civics teacher are LSU grads - I certainly hope they do very well.
Some people ratchet things up - they change allegiances just to cheer for the team that picked up their favorite player (Cam is the perfect example in how most AU fans are Panther fans). That is ok, it is just not how I feel.

If AJ can't beat out a rookie and Nathan Peterman, he's never gonna be a NFL starter

Peterman isn’t a rookie. He played last year and threw 5 picks and fumbled once in the first half of his first game. And even with that he’s clearly better than AJ.

No you don’t. And even then most normal AU posters see it and move on. But you have a strong urge to try to respond to most of them because you’re Bama obsessed.

Only when the flashlight battery runs out. It is entertaining watching Bama fans pump them self up and become defensive when someone counters them. This site wouldn’t be half as fun without them, in the same way as the Finebaum Show. You are proving my point.
