Sounds like something Clark Lea would say.

My guess is this is a distortion or exaggeration of what was really said (if not a fabrication) ... an SEC HC telling a media blabbermouth Utah is going to "smash Florida" ... nah.

I fully expect us to be fired up for the game. We will probably even have a great first half and keep it close.

But Utah’s guys up front will take over in the second half. We will be gassed with our lack of depth. Humidity will not be a factor and we probably lose in the neighborhood of 17-21 points.

Of course if the first half is all Florida, this could change.

Last year Utah was dealing with tragedy to start the season, and they didn't quite have their QB situation figured out.

Their secondary took a hit over one of their top players being murdered. They should be more stable coming into this season.

They're big and ugly up front and recruit overlooked guys and make them nasty. Whitt has his program built and they have their identity. Napier going to try to play into their style and it won't look pretty. Florida will have better athletes, but Utah has better football players.

I will say, this is the most humid summer I can ever remember here. Not of Florida standards be any means, but I had to work outside in the heat of the day a few weeks ago. I had to change my shirt a few times because it was drenched with sweat just like when I was back home down south.

Not worried about their D line that much but we have to slow their running game down. That RB they have is a load. Hopefully our tackling is much better this season.

I'll be saying, "Great win, Gators. Now let's kick Kentucky's arse."

Utah will win as long as they don’t take half the season to get warmed up like they did last year.

Ye of little faith. Do you always expect to lose? NEGAGATOR!

Gator 31- Utes 21. Gators score late to close out a close, hard fought game. Utes wilt under the heat, humidity and crowd noise in the Swamp.

Honestly..I don't recall Florida fans making a ton of excuses. Maybe a bowl game, but it was legit that they had a lot of players opt out. Other than that, I don't recall them pointing at refs, etc.

That guy references Oklahoma's Cotton Bowl win over Florida in every UF thread. I guess someone made the comment that Florida didn't care or something to that effect and he can't move past it. It's pretty funny actually.

The ironic thing about that whole situation were how OU fans were talking about being so glad that they had a coach like Lincoln Riley who "represented the university well" as opposed to Dan Mullen, yet a year later they hate LR's guts because, like Florida at the Cotton Bowl that our OU friend is obsessed with, it turned out Lincoln "didn't want to be there" either!

SAD!

You should take him seriously. Strong trenches is very much what makes Utah churn.

I can possibly see our d-line getting worked. Not much experience or depth there.

This is the best o-line we've had in a long time though. And I heard they lost a bunch on their d-line from last year. I feel pretty good about that side of the line.

I guess it is the nature of the board, but people need to get over a random poster saying something. Every fan base has a poster that is going to say something dumb, then we make it a mission to ascribe that one post to an entire fan base.

Hope you are doing well, BigD, and I hope we have a really good season to watch some amazing football.

My guess would be Drinkwitz. His team played and beat Florida last year and he’s familiar with their team. He’s also subject to speak his mind. But that’s just my opinion.

2021 Florida vs Bama

Rushing Yds: Florida 245 / Bama 91
Sacks: Florida 2 / Bama 1

Somehow, Bama still wins.

Easy to explain. Refs, REC, cheating, SEC office in Birmingham, etc.
