He piled up his gaudy stats against nobodies.
^^This. Indiana was tough, but very fortunate in all four of these games.
Hoosiers luck will run out vs battle-tested Tide. I see Alabama wearing them down late under the bright lights of the Rose Bowl.
Tide 24
Hoosiers 20

Florida State in particular "tested" Alabama. Does this tell us anything about how Alabama would do against the top half of the ACC?

I bet on the Hoosiers minus 6.5. Wont be the 1st time Ive lost a bet if they dont cover but we'll find out.

The cross conference was
TexASS lost to OSU..but had many chances to win. We eventually found out the only way TexASS could beat a good team was to play after the opponents QB had hand surgery 17 days prior.
Oklahoma bullied Mich all over the field.
LINK
So the cross conference play indicates OSu and Indi probably are slightly less than advertised……

Sooner than Later, you're gonna have to quit making excuses for your QB. Texas kicked your Dirt Burglar asses all over Dallas.
And we'll do the same next year.

The SEC has embarrassed themselves in the playoff last season and so far this season. ACC teams that lose their conference to Duke are whipping playoff SEC teams.

Much respect for what IU has accomplished (and they can largely thank Mark Cuban and NIL money), but they still haven’t seen a physical SEC defense like Bama’s.
I still think Bama needs one more offseason to fine tune but it wouldn’t surprise me if they beat IU.

What did Indiana do besides the coach to win big with that roster? Sign every 3 star that ended up playing like a top blue chipper? Where do they sit in NIL this season?

500 more yards than Mendoza but had 150 more passing attempts
So Ty threw fewer INTs on that many more attempts, huh?
And against better defenses?

This year it appears to me that the SEC is the best conference top to bottom with solid non-playoff teams like Arkansas, LSU and Texas. I do believe that the top 3 teams in the Big 10-Indiana, Ohio State and Oregon are better than the top 3 in the SEC-Alabama, Ole Miss and Georgia.

lol. Every time I turn on the TV Bama is missing a tackle

OSU is still a top 3 team in the country regardless of conference
To be fair, we don't know how good OSU is either. They've played a sub par Texas team and Indiana. That's it.

To answer your question, here you go: Mark Cuban
Key excerpt:
"Money is flowing into Indiana's program. In 2024, thanks partially to donors — including alum Mark Cuban — Indiana spent more than $60 million on football."
"Mendoza is reported to be making $2 million this season."
Texas Tech also said to say hi and that NIL $ is real.

Yep but is Indiana paying anywhere in the ballpark of someone like Ohio State for their roster or are they just paying mid NIL money for a Big 10 or SEC school and just producing more spending less NIL than the other top programs?

Arkansas is NOT solid.
Opinion rebuked.

I’ll be surprised if a bunch of 3 stars sprinkled with a few 4 stars and beat a determined, focused, battle tested Bama team loaded with 4 and 5 stars.
Take the points and Bama rolls.
