Good gawd, I'm thinking about rooting for Bama against TAMU.

That is truly weird. I used to like TAMU. Their fans on the message boards are becoming unbearable.

Yes, your offensive line sucks.

More confident, yes. Still Bama should be a huge favorite over every team they play. Maybe moved the line by a point.

They will probably be favored in all games, but I don't think they will be a huge favorite against aTm and LSU.

No. Bama is a very high quality team and the Aggies have light years of work to get guys unsuspended and ready to play on D.

Aggie O will be ready to go, and would do fine in a track meet game..

That said, a lot of shite will change between now and then. So no, not really

This is about right.

LSU, IMHO, looked better than Bama this weekend. Their respective games were very similar.

LSU allowed a team to stay in the game via untraditional scoring, and Alabama blew a team out by scoring untraditionally. Based SOLELY on week on performance, LSU looks to be the better team. That said, Bama will correct its mistakes, get us at home (which has been meaningless to either team), and be much better come 11/9. LSU will be too though.

I think Bama handles aTm handily, and is undefeated on 11/9. I think IF (and that's a big if) LSU goes into the Bama game still controlling its own destiny as far as the West goes, we'll see another "game of the century" - one with the line at 3 or less, and the winner will be whoever executes/gets some breaks. If LSU is playing for a birth in the fried chicken sandwich with a pickle and waffle fried bowl, Bama handles LSU.

But yes, after watching every play of both games, Bama doesn't look like a juggernaut. Unless things drastically improve, Bama doesn't win on 11/9 because of Bama swag/fear/intimidation. LSU looked like the better team on Saturday.

I figured the only way Alabama beats Texas A&M is to score 45. I gave them a 10% chance of doing that before Saturday, and that is still where it is at

Disagree. Man, you do realize aTm played Rice, huh?

........you sir must not know how bad your offense is. We missed most of our starters that game against rice, and held Bama to 0 points in the first half last year and you think "zethamburger" can do better......

LMAO. I don't think anyone should feel too confident. Nick Saban and Alabama has done this enough for people to not read too much into that game but yet people still do.

I remember Alabama fans talking about how good the O line was against a #9 ranked Clemson team in 2008 then watch that same team only get 170 yards of total offense against Tulane. I then watched that same O line punish a #3 UGA team.

I watched the Alabama 2011 team give up tons of pressure and sacks to a Kent State team and then turn around to play very well on the road in Beaver Stadium against Penn State.

I've seen the best O line in the country in 2012 destroy a # 10 ranked Michigan team then turn around and give up six sacks to Western Kentucky.

You can buy that bull sh** if you want. I'm not saying they do not have things to work on with the O line, but some of it was just being stubborn as the have in the past.

No, their issues will be fixed by November or they will find a way to work around them.

However, after watching LSU play I feel a little better about our chances.

I promise you I will come back to this thread and eat my crow if the following predictions don't pan out, but I'm just not sold on A and M yet. Y'all played exactly 3 conference teams that mattered last year. Two of them beat you. Y'all still don't understand the grind that is SEC football, and you're giving no appreciation to the fact fact that Chavis figured out how to adjust to JM three drives into the game last year. He was rather pedestrian thereafter.

A and M lost as much on the offensive side of the ball as anyone from last year. Your line was salty last year. This year remains to be seen, but it won't be as good as last year's for sure. They'll (your O line) get better (like Bama's), but the younger defenses they are facing will also improve (see LSU).

All that said, a team that allows Rice to score 31 on them doesn't exactly bring an aura of fear with them to Baton Rouge. They just don't. High octane offenses haven't done to well in games that matter against the LSU's of the world. JM won't have another "game of his life" against Bama.

In addition, I'll add to my pot of gumbo the fact that teams for which a JM plays are untrustworthy. I know all you Aggies have the "he may be an SOB, but he's OUR SOB" attitude, but come on man. You've GOT to think the stunts this guy's pulling will at some point be detrimental to the teams record, no?

Anyway, here are the predictions. There's nothing Earth shattering about them, but here's what's going to happen. Both Bama and LSU handle A and M. Bama beats them worse than LSU, only because LSU has not lately showed a propensity to put their collective feet on anybody's throat. Bama has, and will. Neither games are routes, but likewise, neither are last possession type games.

Again, I'll be back to eat my crow if A and M beats either Bama or LSU. I'm just not seeing how they can beat either one of them right now.

I wouldn't read too much into A&Ms defense vs rice...they had 6-7 defensive players suspended for that game...

I am not more confident that LSU can beat Bama but after watching their O line and AJ having his worse game ever and with no cupcake to make adjustments before the A&M game, I think A&M has a better chance of winning than I did prior to wk 1...
Getting an o-line to gel sometimes takes a while...if they don't figure it out quick, I could see A&M out scoring them...
