Reebok will have regrets after the Zona game
Do better. Zona may win that game and Acuff will still be a lottery pick.

So he will make more at Oregon next year than in the NBA?

Acuff is 3" taller than AI when standing side by side. He will be fine.

For the first time in months, Lane Kiffin isn't the name that appears most often in thread titles on this board. Even though it's not quite as annoying, we probably don't need Darius Acuff Watch like we had Lane Kiffin Watch.
Acuff >>> kiffin

This makes no sense. Acuff got that deal through his own play.
I think there is another piece to the puzzle. The JMI deal, at least as I understand it.
Acuff COULDN'T make this deal at Kentucky. Because at Kentucky ... you sign away your NIL rights. That's part of the JMI part of it.
You literally can't give a Kentucky player a commercial deal. Unless you are a JMI partner.
This would be a great question to call into KSR about. Not that I think Matt Jones understands much more about this than any of the rest of us. But he's at least seen the boiler-plate that the kids sign.

The last Reebok signature men's basketball shoe before Darius Acuff Jr. was John Wall in the early 2010's.
Reebok doesn't give out shoes left and right, so why Acuff Jr.'s deal historic? #WPS
For multiple reasons, one which could result in him being the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft in June.

Dude is special. Most players aren’t that fun to watch unless they play for your team. Acuff is fun to watch period.

Sucks it's Reebok... but still pretty cool.

Acuff reminds me so much of Derrick Rose.
His attitude and demeanor.
His play style even, but he shoots much better than Rose did.

Acuff’s game has been compared to Iverson more than once. Smallish, wiry, slasher.
Acuff doesn't have Iverson's handles, quickness, or hops, but he doesn't need that. He is lethal on the basketball court.
