That is the dumbest shite I've ever heard. UF could at least recoup some of the financial loss if its played in BR. You may get 20k in AU, but I doubt it.
UF has insurance policies on every game. If it gets cancelled we still get paid.

This game isn't getting played in Gainesville. Y'all act like a hurricane comes through then you can say Ok, let's play in an hour. If that's the plan y'all just want it cancelled.

Because LSU would jump at the opportunity to play in Tuscaloosa 3 years in a row

I just want the game to happen, and truthfully, I kind of prefer it to be in Gainesville, unless it puts undue pressure on resources/infrastructure. It felt dirty having the Carolina game in BR last year, and would hate to take it away from their fans, etc.

It's just like a lightning delay, bro. You reset the clock 30 min for every power outage.

I did read that Florida is not budging on playing in Baton Rouge. I read that UF officials have said that playing it in Baton Rouge is simply not going to happen

Just do like Friday Night Lights. Find a random field around Tallahassee Setup generator lights and a scoreboard somewhere. Last time I checked all you need is 120/53 yards of space. Hell Buddy Garrity Motors will even sponsor it.

Why you Gators so scared to go to BR? Butch already took your souls, pussies.

We're playing this game in Gainesville. Hoping for a night game
The 2pm track has this fricking thing even more west sitting on the coast Friday afternoon at a Cat 3. It's incredibly short-sighted to even think this is an option at this point.

More than anything I honestly want the storm with immediately turn east and fizzle out in the Atlantic. I am deeply concerned about the citizens of Florida. A football game is completely meaningless when compared to the loss of homes and lives.
That being said at this point refusing to move the game from Gainesville is utterly incomprehensible.

The past is a sunk cost.
LSU had to move game to a bye week, move a game to the opposing site, without a return trip, and move a game to Monday night all in consecutive weeks.
shite happens

If recent years has taught us anything, it's that all decisions are made based off of $$$'s. Having it at a neutral site would be disasterous from a financial standpoint. You would have to pay to run a facility but would not sell enough tickets to pay for it... Even then, LSU started getting personnel ready for a game yesterday. It takes time to prepare for a football game.
If you can't have it in Gainesville, at least LSU will sell tickets and UF will at least break even.

Ole miss played us like 10 straight years in BR. That's why their record "in BR" is so good.
Try it
