Political board question.

It doesn't belong here.

I have not read this thread beyond OP's post. So, SIAP...

So there exists a Black Coach's Association? Wow, seems racist to me. Imagine the outcry if there was a WCA ....

The BCA, Rooney Rule stuff really bothers me. If you don't consult the BCA and hire a black coach you get an F? How does that even make sense. You have to go through their "black guys" network and get their shakedown before you make your hire... Ok.

Black racists have already convinced themselves that they're never going to get a fair shake. Black coaches are no different. They look at a situation like KDS, who was hired based on merit, and completely ignore it so they can throw themselves a little pity party when a white dude gets hired or one of them gets fired when they perform poorly.

Chizik fired 2 years after producing a natty - no biggy.
Embree fired 2 years after sucking penguin shite in a weak conference - RACISM.

What a fricking joke.

I don't know how anyone could say otherwise. His children, on the other hand, are mixed.

As for the selection committee...I guess they are pissed off because we didn't hire the black coach they wanted...i.e. a coach that would have had a mediocre record and "kept A&M where they belong".

Good question...perhaps you should ask Mike Garrett, the black former Athletic Director at USC who hired him.

judge ag, according to your logic, there would have never been black quarterbacks then if SOMEONE didn't stand up for them also. The black coaches had to stand up for them because tell me how long it was before they were given a FAIR shot? i guess those coaches were asking for hand outs also. Tell me who again stood up for them? i guess the legendary Eddie Robinson was looking for entitlements.

Does LSU offer a course on logic? You should probably take it.

The issue here is not whether or not there needs to be a Black Coaches Association. The issue is that they are giving a failing grade to a school that is doing the very thing that they want to see happen.

Think about it:

Kevin Sumlin is the first black head coach of a school that is in the top 10 in overall enrollment.

Tyrone Willingham coached at Stanford and Notre Dame. Neither school has half of A&M's student population.

Again and tell me what was kiffin so highly successful at doing that he failed at tenn and got a better job. my point is when a minority coach is let go it's like he is sent to exile while the white coaches just recycle, why is that?

Surely you have more examples than just one? I'm baffled that Kiffen gets those offers as well for not having accomplished squat but he is the exception, not the rule.

You think John L Smith will get another HC offer? Chizik? Mike Shula? Larry Coker? There's a list a mile long of white HCs that failed and were / will be "exiled".

Keep perpetuating racism. Explain the logic for the F grade to a school who hired a black coach based on merit.

It's a joke. The BCA hates when a black coach is hired based on merit and not skin color. They need racism to remain relevant instead of wanting hires to be made without regard to race. It's a scam based on antiquated culture and idiots like you perpetuate that.

I gained a lot of respect for Sumlin before he ever coached a game when he shot down a question about being a black coach and said he never wanted to talk about that because it didnt matter. He got criticized by the BCA for that.

Takes balls for a black man in a position of power to stand up and say that these days. Nobody wants to hear about a minority who doesnt define themelves by their skin color.
