I'm sure the fans at Texas will be much better...
Looked like a really fun game for Auburn :dunno:

I’ve got an office full of Aggies, so tomorrow will be fun.
Yep, because his coaching history is so similar to O's.
I’m still wondering exactly what Miles was doing in the month between the SECCG and the BCSCG.

Agreed...but that late season loss to A&M is tough to overlook.
Perhaps even worse, imagine if this would have started just a few months earlier-halfway through the 2019 season. :banghead:

Way too soon, wait until next year. There is a reason that Miles said he is going to the UNC-FSU game on Saturday (other than his son, of course).
danfraz - your post brings back some great memories of long summer nights at Sharp Road park in the late 70s and early 80s. I can't vouch for the BC Jr. story, but I think I remember the pitcher you were referring to - are his initials RK?

Which is more likely? Saban could have coached at Kentucky and led them to 3 straight top ten finishes and 11 win seasons, or Spurrier could have coached at LSU and won a few titles?

I'm not sure about Kentucky, but I think Saban could have led South Carolina to 3 straight top ten finishes and 11 wins seasons, particularly if they had won 9 games and been ranked as high as 10th the year before he arrived. More importantly, I think he would have built a more consistent winning program in the following years.
I really like Spurrier...but the answer is Saban and it isn't a close call. Saban has had more success against far tougher competition.
In...first LSU BB game since the 1990's.
For the most part, I think LSU was viewed as having talented teams that were usually competitive in the SEC (kind of like South Carolina has been more recently), but not much of a factor nationally. It is also important to remember that the perception of the SEC as a whole was also not the same in the '80s and '90s as it is today.
I like Pelini as a DC, but I don't think he has done that well as a head coach. The opinions I've heard from knowledgeable Nebraska folks have been very mixed.

Good question...perhaps you should ask Mike Garrett, the black former Athletic Director at USC who hired him.
If I were younger and my uncle was playing, definitely yes. Nephew...probably not.
