The BCA is about minoriies just as the NAACP is about equal rights for ALL, newflash there are white members of the NAACP.

Thats the point, while a coach like Lane Kiffen can get plush jobs with Tenn and USCw name me one black coach with the same credentials as Kiffen would have sniffed a job offer from those schools. So the BCA is relevant just because you refuse to acknowledge it doesn't mean its not relevant. The head coach at kent state is a better coach than kiffen so is franklin from vandy.
Jon Embree only got the job at CU because he was black. It was a classic affirmative action hire (unqualified candidate jumps the line to fulfill a quota) with the classic result. Contrast this with Sumlin, who, unlike Embree, had been an OC at OU and A&M, then a head coach at Houston before getting a BCS head coaching job.

so if embree got the job because he was black then why did kiffen get tenn job? and then after failing at that got a BETTER job. do you think embree with the resume as kiffen would have sniffed ANY of those oppurtunities?

Kiffin got the job at Tennessee because of his resume at USC.

Kiffin got the USC job because of his resume at.... USC.

so again, good ole boy network, kiffin resume was no better than that of charlie strong but yet strong has to prove himself at a lower tier football program before the big boys come calling. again why didnt kiffin have to prove himself at a lower tier school? or is it kiffin is a better coach in your opinion than strong?

Embree had close to 20 years of coaching experience to include 10 at Colorado. He obviously has failed but why the hell would you run and spout off that he was only hired because of his race. What bullSH##!

well we all should care when there is injustice, my point is that if people sit here rand think race does not play a factor in the hiring process is either blind or ignorant. Because it is a part of society and college football is NOT immune to it. So just because you choose to turn a blind eye to it doesn't mean it does not exist.

MOST of these minority leaders are embarrassments to their race anyway. The only thing they're are good at is making themeselves look stupid on national TV. Everything is still so unfair for the minorities.

Newsflash do your job right and stop expecting hand outs from everybody. The race card is the biggest sellout there is. Don't know where this sense of entitlement comes from. I sure as hell don't expect it.

When your purpose is to ensure that a certain demographic get a fair shake, giving a failing grade to a school that not only hires a minority coach, but gives him the tools he needs to succeed and HE IS WILDLY SUCCESSFUL completely discredits your stance.

I agree that giving A&M a grade of F is unfair.

They should have a category dealing with school cooperation where this might make more sense.

BTW, the Director of The Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport, University of Central Florida authored the report.

my stance has nothing to do with the grade that was given to aTm. to the person that said the minority leaders only embarrass themselves, well good thing when they marched in the 60s they fought and died for simple rights. rights you probably take for granted. The BCA is only a survey to show the inequalities of the hiring practice. no one is asking for a hand out, sounds like mitt R. just a level playing field that's all, same as the civil right leaders march and died for.

Again and tell me what was kiffin so highly successful at doing that he failed at tenn and got a better job. my point is when a minority coach is let go it's like he is sent to exile while the white coaches just recycle, why is that?

. You are a fool. Kiffin did not fail at tenn. He took them from 5-7 the year before he was there to a bowl game in his first year. Not to mention he had them seconds away from beating the number 1 team in the country in Tuscaloosa

TEAM LSU I didn't group them all together I said MOST. There are good and bad in everygroup you know the ones I'm talking about. Most of the ones you usually see on TV all the time just run their mouth and incite.

Was needed in the 60's you're correct but newsflash it's 2012.

Dan Hawkins sucked also, the point is he was given 5 years and Embree only 2.

Embree only got 2 BECAUSE Hawkins got 5. Hawkins was so bad he dug that program a grave and buried it. CU needs someone who can engineer a miraculous tunrnaround, and you can tell if you have a miracle worker or not after two years. Embree is just not that guy, so they need to move on. Why does it have to be about race? It's about CU's dumb decision to keep Hawkins on so long that they now need a coach with Old Testament Yahweh powers if they're going to see a bowl again in the next 20 years.
