Auburn is a big time job! Tamu has great resources no doubt, but has never won anything.

And Jimbo shares a big state with Tom Herman not Nick Saban. Lol

Everyone downvoted you not because your list is shite but because you have LSU on there. Trash school with a trash team. Won’t win any hardware for decades the way they are going.

As much as the SEC hates to hear it, LSU will always be great going forward. We are recession proof. 3 National Championships with 3 different coaches since 2000. 2 of those coaches aren't even good. Yet we still win. Even in our worst year since 1999, we still go .500 in an all-sec schedule and beat a top 10 team on the road.

That’s what we all say when we fire our winning coach. That’s what we said when we fired RC.

I don't know the answer but has LSU ever been able to attract a top coach? I don't remember what the opinion of saban was yet but I know he was not yet an elite coach.

Championships and wins all time beg to differ. A&M sucks dick this year. They would be an 8-9 win team in a normal year. Beating 40 man JV squads in an awful SEC doesn't make you a Top 5 team, even if the media says it does.

It’s about the same honestly. Not much different. Auburn is close to Atlanta which is a gold mine for recruits. Houston has a lot but A&M is fighting LSU, Bama , ou and UT there vs Auburn fighting just Bama Clemson and Georgia for atl guys.

Did you see a&m schedule this year? 11-1 was not only possible but completely probable.

I mean, that's not saying much. Apparently UAB is a better job than Auburn. Who knew?

Better program. Better job. Period.

A&M has a lot of money, we know that. They also have better facilities right now. AU is working on a new football complex to be completed in 2022ish. It is sad that AU still doesn't have a football only complex. Has to be one of the few SEC teams without one. It was bad enough that Gus himself said "I'll give part of my salary to get it built." He supposedly gave several million of his own money. (I wonder how that's gonna work now that he's gone. lol).

AU has Tim Cook (CEO of Apple) as an alum. I don't know what Cook gives or doesn't give (I assume he is generous, but probably on the academic side), but he needs to step up and put some millions into football. Name that football complex "Tim Cook is awesome complex" and smatter it with tons of Apple logos. I don't care, just get it done.

But, yeah, you're right. If I was a recruit I'd have to look at A&M over AU right now. AU just isn't as committed on the facility side of things for whatever reason. They are willing to pay $21 million to fire coaches, but not spend to be on par with the top 2 or 3 in facilities. It's weird.

Tim Cook just passed the $1 Billion net worth Mark but the vast majority of his worth is wrapped up in stock. I’m not sure he has the liquidity or the interest dropping into an athletic program.

All evidence to the contrary.
Auburn has championship hardware in this century and decade while aTm has none.
aTm has more potential than Auburn but they have yet to realize it.
Consider this. Auburn’s in-state rival is at it’s zenith while aTm’s is nearly at its nadir. That’s a huge advantage for the Ags but it has yet to translate into more than episodic success.

A&M targeted a top 4 coach and got him the leave his long term program to start over.

Serious question, what makes Jimbo a "top 4 coach?"

Deep pockets, huge alumni base and lower expectations....TAM is a great gig. And its Texas so all you gotta do to keep the fanbase happy is score a lot, you can forget about defense and special teams just recruit recievers and QBs and, in the current state of college football, you will be a winner. Not that TAM is doing this currently...TAM plays defense...but TAM like the rest of CFB will eventually come to realize the game is now sandlot football and defense is passe...

So we should just ignore the previous 50 years of terribleness, right?
