it is what it is. aTm fans like to claim that Florida win as their golden ticket to the CFP when in reality, that game could've gone either way based on the outcome. if aTm had beaten them soundly, or most of their opponents for that matter, they probably would've a better arguement. but alot of their wins came off of teams that were struggling to break even (.500) this season.

coastal carolina played in a more difficult division based on winning percentage alone.

It’s cute the way A&M constantly lowers the bar for themselves in order to pat themselves on the back.

It's a Covid year. Records are going to be lower based on the schedule. Those are 7 to 10 win teams most years.

Who said we were a championship team?

who makes a claim for the CFP but also believes they're not a championship level team?

Here is a better way to judge.

Only allow schools that beat Texas A&M the right to vote.

Really good, but they are not elite. Overall, they had some explosive playmakers, an above average qb, but less than dominant offensive and defensive lines.

We are a very good team.

A position could be made that we were the 4th team in, but in all honesty, I don't think we'd have fared much better. I think we could blunt Harris but our DBs would have not near enough answers for the air attack.

it is what it is. We won our bowl game, we will be talked about moving as high as 3, no less than 5 at the end of the season, and Jimbo is doing solid work recruiting wise.

This was a very good year. No need to go any further than that.

Because there are levels to this game. We’re not at the top level just yet. But we were equally or more deserving than Notre Dame and all the Big Ten schools should have been penalizing for the shite they pulled trying to get this year canceled and then only playing a handful of games.

Once you should up for the big dance, anything can happen.

I wouldn't even give aTm any credit if they won a title game

Immediately following the close of the 19/20 football season, most pre-pandemic predictions for 20/21 season showed A&M finishing anywhere from 9-3 to 11-1. So let's not act like the only reason we went 9-1 is because we got circumstantially lucky.

This is how message boards work. You form an opinion and then if presented with a fact that contradicts said opinion, trot out some stupid talking point. Real life example:

Opinion: A&M sucks

Fact: Top 5-10 recruiting class

Talking point: 3rd class in their division, we didnt want any of their players anyway, the coach at A&M can’t develop any players etc.

It literally doesn’t matter what happens, the opinion won’t change.
