My ESPN watching is at a minimum now.
But I was watching an afternoon show months ago.
And one of the few guys that I like was kind of making fun of SEC fans.
Because of how we pull for each other to win.
He couldn’t understand why.
He said every other conference wants their rivals to lose.
Back to Texas....
How could he not know of the financial agreement in the SEC?

I guess I'll be the naysayer among Aggies here. I understand all the arguments about recruiting and who would benefit most from the game and blah, blah, blah. I just don't care. Football fans in Texas want and deserve this game. The end.
I respect what AD Woodward said and I agree up to a point. Success in the SEC is WAY more important to me than beating the snot out of t.u. But I don't get why we can't have both.

They should swap LSU in 19/20 for A&M. LSU is headed to the dumpster.

Eh, for what? Its football. Do it for the fans who want the game. How many great memories are being missed out by young football fans in Texas because some old arse men cant get over some fueds. As for the schedules...they can be changed. No schedule is set in stone for 10 years. Texas can play Alabama and A&M in the same season. It wont kill them

Without a doubt, Texas and A&M need to get the home and home going again...and on Thanksgiving night. Even as someone who doesn't have a dog in that race, I really enjoyed that game and would like to see it come back.

Eh, it’s just a talking point he keeps saying, and the other times he said it he included Ole Miss, Arky and State.
Leaving them out wasn’t an indication of what we think of those programs. Instead the statement was meant to piss off Longhorns by basically saying “even by your standards we have better games to play than against you.”
Normally Woodward is very respectful to all SEC West programs, but he knew how to hit the Horns where it hurt.

Actually neither fanbase wants this game. Sportswriters with idle time on their hands or ones who like skipping family functions during thanksgiving want this game. The actual fanbases don't. Having a one time neutral site game or maybe a 2 yr home and home is about the limits i would go
