A Tiger Rant poster believes LSU should get auto bid into regional.....

I said this in 2010 and I’ll say it again. Going all the way through Omaha puts you behind in preparing for the next season, and is such a monumental achievement that it should give you more leeway the next year.
Now, if like this year the champ would otherwise miss the tourney, they should be slotted as the 4-seed in the 1 overall regional.
I’d still give us a better shot at taking down UCLA than whatever directional cow school on which that spot will be wasted.
This reminds me of when S. Carolina basketball won back to back NITs and some poster over there thought the real tournament champ should have to play the NIT champion to decide who gets the title.

It's funny how many opposing fans spend time lurking on our home board. I've never looked at UGA's team board.

There's a lot of things posted on TigerRant, VolNation, AUfamily, Tidefans, etc. that are hilarious. That one kind of stuck out though.

FTR - Carolina beat Rick Stansbury Bruce Pearl Tubby Smith in Nashville before playing eventual NCAAT champ Billy Donovan to 49-47 in the SECT CG -
then beat Cincinnati on its home Bearcat court on the way to beating Rick Pitino Louisville and Tommy Amaker Michigan in MSG to win the 2nd NIT -
Dave Odom had a very talented ball club that played down to lesser SEC teams all season - but he got it going by March - just too late to make the NCAAT field - Gamecocks did beat eventual NCAAT champ Florida twice in the regular season though -

This isn't the Master's. We had a losing record our year following. We would have been 2 and Q in anyone's Regional.

Uhh let me explain how things work.
I'm 53 years old. I have been reading and posting on message boards since the mid nineties and UGA boards since the early part of this century.
The Cock board Fighting Gamecocks Forum has been around at least since 2001 and I remember those crazy Chickens were convinced Corey Jenkins was gonna win the Heisman in 2002.
Anyways, that's the place some Cock fan thought it would be only fair that the Cocks got to play the NCAA tourney champ to determine the real national champion.
It's kind of sad to me that you actually think I'd have to have used a time machine as if I couldn't have existed before this board was created. Prayers my friend.
