It is beyond silly.

IF the NCAA and SEC rulings are upheld, I'd expect the onslaught of civil lawsuits against schools, coaches, etc to begin. Everybody wants to lawyer up and try to get something. Although, a school recruiting a player and then voting against said players ability to play at that school does seem like a good argument for legal action.

An LSU fan said I had an emotional response when I suggested this very thing was going to happen. Players will start suing universities and athletic department for the "right to play". And then it will be to sue over "playing time".

Why? The player filed the lawsuit. Thus according to corndog logic this has nothing to do with Missouri.

How do you take a restraining order against the university you attend and play for?

The math ain't mathing.

Interesting strategy cotton!

All the NCAA had to do was just allow these lower tier players to return for a 5th year since they passed the rule so late.

If the NCAA does this, people would bitch and moan, but after a couple of games, no one would care and this would have gone away.

But in true NCAA fashion, they make the worst decision they possibly could and now this is a legal and media shite show.

Neither the NCAA, nor a member conference, nor a member school can treat a player ineligible if he meets the requirements of eligibility.

This is smart. It names Missouri. Missouri will be forced to not penalize the kid.
