How is 1959 Ole Miss on there? They beat 8 teams with losing records (some really bad teams) , only beat 1 team with a winning record in regular season and they lost to LSU.

They were so sure that 2019 team would stand the test of time as greatest ever but didn't even get a whole sticking year celebrate it.

OP, based on the remarks I have read on the first 4 pages of this thread, I would say you hit your mark.
Congrats.....
Congrats.....

And again, you beat 4 teams with a winning record in conference while 2019 LSU also beat 4 teams with a winning record in conference.
That takes the entire OOC cupcakes argument off the table.
2019 SEC schedule had the teams playing 8 conference games
2020 SEC schedule had the teams playing 10 conference games
You really have no research skills (or interpreting skills) at all do you?

The 2020 Bama team was great but also played arguably one of the worst SEC schedules ever. I can’t remember a time when 10/14 teams in the conference had 5 losses or more. A&M and UGA were super overrated. LSU sucked. Auburn sucked.
If every year every SEC team played an all SEC schedule, the results would have look a lot like 2020.
However, what was the SECs bowl record last year? That is due to the SEC teams actually being a lot better than their record shows.
I am not into this GOAT issue, as there are a few teams that can claim that title.

Leave it to ESPN to crown “the greatest team of all time” after they beat a team that only played 8 games.
Even at full strength Ohio State would not have been able to stop Alabama's offense (truth be told, Alabama could have scored what they wanted in that game.)

1. 2020 Alabama (13-0)
CFP result: beat Notre Dame, 31-14; beat Ohio State, 52-24
The Crimson Tide had the No. 1, 3 and 5 finishers in the Heisman voting. They played one game decided by fewer than 14 points. They bested an SEC-only schedule by an average of 30.2 points per game. Their defense struggled early but allowed only 15 points per game after mid-October. This team will go down as the best Nick Saban team ever and quite possibly the best of the 21st century.
Best team ... from the best coach ... with the best dynasty of the 21st century (at the very least)? Sounds like the best team of the CFP era.
Op with a classic reminder of truth.
Should be 'stickied' like chicken stickies negative bama stories at the bottom of this site for 6 months.

^^^ this is what you posted
You think two extra SEC games (really an all SEC schedule) would not factor into the records?

It doesn't matter at all if you're just comparing winning records in conference play, moron.
Perhaps you're the one with no research or interpretation skills.

2019 LSU as I said did not have the OLine 2020 Bama did. Everywhere else could be argued as even or close. That may have been the best OLine as a unit ever, or as good as any. That's the difference between the two teams and the unit which would have allowed Bama to beat 2019 LSU had they ever played.
