2020 Alabama played 4 SEC teams with winning records in conference.

2019 LSU also played 4 SEC teams with winning records in conference.

The false narrative that 2020 Alabama played some grueling in conference gauntlet is tired and old at this point, both teams played all the best teams in the conference.

No real debate to be had, you play an all-P5 schedule and win every game by 15 or more except one then you're the GOAT.

So you're saying those 7 teams didn't get to pad their win columns with games against Northwestern State, Georgia Southern, Florida International, Middle Tennessee, etc.?

Playing cupcake games doesn't magically make you not have 5 losses.

I'm convinced none of you Alabama fans actually think before you hit submit when you post your "gotchas"

SEC teams playing 10 SEC opponents instead of 8 (and non-P5 cupcakes) results in more losses.

I compare the two teams unit by unit. They both beat hell out of most of the competition.

The biggest difference and you can't dispute it is in the offensive line. If the two teams had ever met Alabama's advantage likely would have been there. Mac Jones has tons of time, whereas Burrow may not have the luxury. One stop can make all the difference.

In the 2019 game, Tua was not healthy and did not play well in the first half. LSU jumped out to a big lead, then Bama came back and made a game of it in the second. Likely a healthy Mac Jones does not stink it up in a first half.

This thread isn't about LSU bud, you can praise your team and their accomplishments without having to derail the thread.

The guy made a thread praising Bama without disrespecting any other team and he is insecure for it...I don't get it

In the 2019 game, Tua was not healthy

Which begs the questions, why did Saban start Tua over Mac and why did he then lie and say Tua was fine before the game and "90%" after the game?

Also, why is Tua, who you say isn't healthy, attempting to run ten yards for a touchdown right out of the gate?

The goat can not come from a year in which the quality of competition is significantly down. The SEC was down and only had 4 ranked teams. The entirety of CFB was down as Liberty, Coastal Carolina, ULL, Buffalo, and San Jose State were top 25 teams. Bama never faced a true road environment. SECW was a cake walk compared to the rest of the seasons post 2000. The seven win team you played in the natty had an injured QB and 20+ players out due to COVID. What a fricking gauntlet!

We see how that run attempt turned out. We also know he was not 100%, don't go there, it just makes you look like Gloryhole Bill.

I don't know who Nick is. Alabama didn't have a Nick that played QB. But Tua had far more experience at the time than MAC JONES did and was the best option if he was able to go.

Which he was. Just not at full strength. He played pretty well in the second half.

Cuz losing to Texas...Christ, I couldn't imagine the shame if a top tier SEC team went out like that.

Could you?

the conference teams bama played in 2020 had a combined W/L record in conference of 56-51. The teams LSU played in 2019 had a combined conference record of 34-38.

Utah state was a top 25 team when we played them. Plus my bad 15-0 with full stadiums and dealing with crowd noise and true road games vs bama playing spring ball this year

One thing is for certain. Nick Saban and Alabama restored order and did it in one year.

Roll Tide What? F%$& WHO? LSU!

lol, where did they end? is that why you guys keep talking about texas as a top 10 team you beat?

um, my bad, dealing with all the insane covid hoops and stress of the 2020 season and maintaining focus is approximately a million time harder than fricking crowd noise. road games never affect bama anyway, which is why we literally own you in tiger stadium. All the shite you are talking about amounts to, on average, a 3 point advantage. how many bama games were decided by 3 or fewer points last season?
