When Alabama does something remarkable in football you yawn, when A&M does something special your radar goes the frick off.
A&M is running the old school bag drop version of a NIL program, with an heavy staff to booster loop. There is literally not one single program remotely as egregious as to what these clowns are doing. No program is expecting anything to be done about it, but Saban simply said the hard truth out loud while everyone else just thought it.
Here we are year 2 & everyone is coloring between the lines for the most part vs going goon show like aggy.
Aggy did us a favor, most didn't follow their lead as we watched the train wreck that followed.. thankfully they weren't experienced enough to know that it was really simply more about aggy doing what aggy has always done..

All is right now cause after 1 year of players just going for the money, they suddenly have bought into development, even thou his program no longer develops enough players to compete. First class POS

Good, since Saban is apparently benefiting from NIL, maybe people will start to speak up about it and fix it.
Of course, first they must admit that claiming it was a good thing and that it would hurt schools/coaches like Alabama/Saban was a bunch of stupid delusional wishful thinking to start with. That might be a tough hurdle to overcome.
Personally, my opinion on NIL and collectives hasn't changed. I hope everyone with a collective gets in trouble. Alabama didn't do it last year, but they definitely have one this year.
