I think it is abundantly clear that both are elite program. Any game between the two is a tossup and it continue to be this way for some time to come.

i find your post to be right in every way and amazing in this super competitive atmosphere. i think lsu and bama are the 2 best programs, overall, in college football right now. it is great that we are in the same division and get to duke it out every year. neither team will dominate and each game will be the BEST COLLEGE FOOTBALL HAS TO OFFER. being a part of that is special for the coaches, players and fans of both schools.

You auburn fans are bitches. LSU is top ten ALLTIME in wins. You get to top ten ALLTIME in wins with just a good decade.

so what you are saying is that come Jan 9 they will have the exact same 54-13 records, and LSU will have 2 NC's in that arbitrary timeframe...OK

That's dandy and all but LSU only has 3 official National Championships. Though they've won a lot, they don't have a history of winning the big games when they matter, similar to Auburn.

Do you still think you understand the way the BCS and the sports media work. You haven't posted much lately. Interesting.

That is quite a statement, what you mean is we just recognize 3 NC, since there is no "official NC", that is all you can do. Or you go the bama route and claim lots of NC's that are hardly "official"...

Oh, SEC titles matter now? Who is the 2011 SEC champion? Because I thought Nov 5 was an exhibition game that didn't matter.

Yep, both programs have been pretty good lately
The amount of talent on these two teams is crazy good. Bama wants to take back what they think is theirs. Bama's Seniors going 47-6 during their 4 yr careers will make one think this way, and I wouldn't want anything less playing for Bama. I'm very pleased with how Saban & Staff has gotten Bama back to playing Championship level football again. I've always like Miles, and know LSU has got a sick amount of god given talent on their team. Jan 9th should be a great game.

Lakers -vs- Boston
Colts -vs- Pats
Bulls -vs Detroit
Every so often in sports we fans are fortunate enough to get two teams that make for great games
Bama -vs LSU is there

I really don't give a damn about games played decades ago and their "titles", since they have very little relevance on a game played today. Bama fans can have their 8,9,12 championships, or however they want to count them. I prefer the two, about to be three BCS NC trophies. In this present time, it's all that matters.
