LSU tried to make fit in a round hole.

his camp insisted that he be groomed to play inside
they thought thats where he would blossom at the next level…

Guys that transferred from BAMA and were drafted.
Caleb Downs, S — Round 1
Kendrick Law, WR — Round 5
Malik Benson, WR — Round 6
Emmanuel Henderson Jr., WR — Round 6
Aaron Anderson, WR - Nope.

7.5 sacks and 4 FF as a freshman isnt overhyped.
They tried to make him something he wasnt.
They tried him at several positions. They even let him play the position he wanted his last year. He still didn’t have much success, except against Arkansas. Somehow he always played well against them.
He’s a great athlete, but there is no position for him.

Perkins in Atlanta is a pretty good fit in my opinion. I think he will do better in the NFL than he did at LSU. That last coaching staff wasted tons of talent.

I thought Perkins was a better RB than LB in high school

Has NOT had the same explosion since his ACL injury....ACL injury!!! That has happened to many elite athletes after a knee injury!!!

Severely overrated by the ignorant LSU fan fanbase.

The guy mopped up on bad OTs in pass rush. He was never what LSU tried to make him out.

He's a freakin specimen. Could definitely put his hand on the ground and pressure the QB on 3rd downs on Sunday.
The buildup to the draft has made clear a lot of people haven’t paid attention to him after his freshman season. Or they’re stuck in the Arkansas game watching him repeatedly sack their backup QB in his only ever start
If no one’s blocking him, Perk’s your guy
If someone gets their hands on him, Perk is not shedding that block
We have so much film of him at this point I am baffled people haven’t adjusted their expectations of him

quote:He’s only good in pass rush if he’s got a free shot. He doesn’t even have a move and has next to no power. NFL linemen and RBs in protection are way, way faster than the guys he played in college
The NFL is infatuated with sacks, and there will he multiple opportunities a game in the NFL where he will be able to straight pass rush and thats all they want from him as a 6th round pick.
Making the 53 man roster would be an absolute miracle

How does a guy who was a 5* spend four years at an SEC school and get no stronger than he was as a high school senior and learn zero technique?

Highly rated recruits peak in high school all the time, some of them become solid college players and flame out in the pros.
Some flame out before they ever make it there. Bama has had plenty of them, a real Alabama fan would know all about this.

Gonna be hard for MSU to replace all that talent that left for the NFL…
Oh, wait…
Oh, wait…

So you are saying that he had maxed out at 18? He just couldn’t get stronger with a weight training program? Nor could he improve his technique?
That does not seem correct
Harold Perkins is going to put LSU fans in an awkward spot. They will want him to succeed in the NFL so they can brag about him. But, if he does succeed, it will show that LSU wasted his talent. Quite the conundrum for LSU fans.
