I think it's pretty ignorant to assume a booster would post bond for felony charges especially considering the players admitted to attacking students.

Why would you commit an NCAA violation for guys that aren't even going to play at Bama anymore?

Yeah, but this is a non-issue. Boosters (esp at bama) know the rules well enough and there is obviously a record when you post bail. Since bail can be posted by anyone, it would not be hard to get around. Give the money to Billy Bob who has no association with the university and tell him to give it to the bondsman and move along.

This is not the type of situation where a booster gets caught as common as arrests are on teams.

This would never happen on Saban's watch.

A simple "no" would have sufficed.

The thug knows Saban has no control over him anymore - Calloway knows he was on thin ice from back in '11 - he broke through that ice with this lastest shite.

According to reports, the crimes happened earlier and warrants were issued for their arrests.

If warrants were issued, this is what happened, or what policy says should happen (again, I can't give you a link, Kool-Aid chuggers, but consider me a primary source): the sheriff's department contacted the athletic department to notify of the players' warrants; the athletic department corralled the students and advised them of the situation and informed them that they would either turn themselves in or the police would come get them. My guess is that they lawyered up and turned themselves in, so there was probably a good bit of negotiating that took place prior to booking. Not everyone is completely unaware that they are being arrested and charged when they are booked at the county jail.

Person paying the bond likely wouldn't know about the admission at the time.

More information that likely wouldn't be known at the time the bond was posted.

Yeah, sorta doubt an attorney is going to tell their client to confess and get it over with.
