Let me help you. LSU played man to man. Therefore, he is not covering a third of anything. He would be covering A wr.

Let me help you.
It’s not an excuse. When you have a shut down corner it makes a world of difference on a defense. One receiver went for almost 200 yards yesterday. Like I said it’s a trickle down effect. Instead of going to a position of strength, it’s a weakness. You could give more safety help on one side instead of both sides. How many long tds did State have yesterday with no safety help and the corner just getting beat? Quite a few. It’s quite laughable most of you acting like it wouldn’t have made any difference.

And yes those guys are talented but they were just in HS a couple months ago playing in their first game. More than any team, we needed a warm up game in the worse way instead of going against an experienced qb in the most pass happy team in the nation missing the best corner in the nation....

Ok fine, if Stingley had played, State only throws for 500 and wins by 7 instead of 10.

well, you got it. state warmed dat arse right on up.

it wouldn't of, and besides, it couldnt of, because it happened yesterday, and yesterday is as good as a million miles away. we whipped your asses yesterday, and one man wouldn't of made a difference: the score doesn't do it justice on just how ineffective the la state tigers were at being a threat to state. hell we could've easily given you the game had we continued to make self-inflicted mistakes, and even then we STILL won handily.

and the reason why we made the mistakes is because of all the reasons already listed, (e.g., new coach, new system, limited spring practice like everyone else, not having 4 and 5 stars stacked up like cordwood on the sidelines, etcetera, etcetera) and yet, again, state still stomped your dicks into the dirt.

hence the reason why one single man wouldn't of made a difference: we simply couldn't lose. you were mounted and shown dominance over and now you don't like your spot in the shite ditch. la state's big dick energy: DENIED.

yes it is.

all world safety Stingley

I don’t watch much LSU outside of Alabama and the only action I’ve seen of Stingley is him getting railed for 200 yards in man coverage by Devonta Smith.

That was his worse game of the year by far.

But he was the only freshman, true freshman at that, to make the all American team.....

You're right, no SEC team has ever been so bad and poorly coached that they gave up 600+ yards. Simply amazing!

Dude... you got beat. If we are here to make excuses I'd like to join.

If our coach wasn't new and our offensive scene wasn't new and we didn't have 4 turnovers... we'd have won by 20+

Take this loss like a man.

You know State lost like 14 players. We also only had few starters from last year too.

14 players? How bad did you miss mediocre players that were out of eligibility?

You had 11 returning starters. LSU had 3
You had 5 players drafted. LSU had 14.
You had 0 1st round picks. LSU had 5.

Yeah, we got beat, but get the facts straight.

Maybe bump that thread so they can re-read their own reasons why only having 3 starters doesn't matter?

30 hours ago there was tons of talent returning who had gotten valuable snaps last year and there wouldn't be much drop off. The DL was going to be "unleashed" because Dave A wasn't doing a good job before...

I'm sure we can bump like 30 threads like that over the past 10 days. You lost to the more prepared team, it happens. Doesn't mean LSU will be bad this season. Hell they win out they are in they playoffs for sure

There is a ton of talent, but majority of them were making their first start in college. Not to mention missing our top returning dlineman and the top corner in the nation for that game. On top of everything else that left. Pretty much every starter along with a 5 star freshman that had a lot of snaps last year and was productive. It’s slot to overcome.
