Had to transfer to another school just to earn a starting job. Pretty wild!

Burrow
Fields
Hurts

Probably says more about the coaches. Or the team stacking up on talent.

Expect to see more and more of this.

This and the eventual player payment will make this a semi pro league and trading will be a thing by 2030.

When talent compresses, sometimes you just dont have an opportunity. It is no knock on the player. OSU just has one QB spot.

I don't think it says much about the coaches. It's definitely the result of teams loaded with talent, the transfer rule and and this generation's desire for instant gratification.

What it speaks to is how much talent goes to and disappears at top 25 programs and how arbitrary the starters can be.

The Portal has a chance to change all of that.

I agree that this is just crazy.

The rant will take it as a sleight to their favorite team and then talk about how their bbq is better n yours; academics better n yours: womens is better n yours.

Interesting, the way it's going currently, they will also be the three in N.Y. come December.

Watching Baker mayfield throw before he was coached by Riley was night and day difference. Same thing with kyler Murray, and now Hurts. Murray and hurts both couldn’t throw further than 15 yards accurately before they came to OU. Now hurts can throw 40 yard passes in tight windows. It’s not even comparable to both of those players at their previous schools.

I understand Meyer and Sabans decision. Skeptical about Smarts.

The best thing that happened to Hurts was Tua and the OC from last year at Bama. Jalen’s work ethic was key, kid is a competitor, saw his weaknesses and did not mop around. Kept his head in the game, listened to his coaches and worked his arse off. It aint all Lincoln Riley on this one Boomer!

Really? Before Baker Mayfield was coached by Lincoln Riley, he was coached by Kliff Kingsbury - the guy who coached Patrick Mahomes, the reigning NFL MVP and who also turned Johnny Manziel into a Heisman Trophy winner as a RS freshman.

Before Murray was coached by Riley, he was coached by Jake Spavital who coached Brandon Weeden who broke OSU records and was a 1st round draft choice. Spavital also coached Geno Smith. Go look at the gaudy production he got out of Smith. Manziel's production actually increased in his sophomore year under Spaviatal

Before Jalen Hurts was coached by Lincoln Riley, he was coached by Lane Kiffin and Steve Sarkisian who btween them developed Matt Leinart, Matt Barkley, Jake Locker and Tua.

Close, I guess. Haskins had exactly 50 TDs in 14 games (not "over" in 2018)

In 7 games:
Haskins had 28 TDs, 4 INTs, 2331 yards, 72.7%

Burrow has 29 TDs, 3 INTs 2484 yards, 79.4%
