One positive no matter the sec record-RPI is going to shoot up once LSU plays these teams. I think you’re potentially going to see a 17 or 18 game conference win team win the SEC this year.

shite I would gladly take 15-15 in this SEC.

This. I came into the season hoping for a 14-4 early start in our non-con (still on pace for that) with a 20-17 mark over the back half with split series against Tech and Clemson (puts us at 15-15 in conference). That puts us at 34-21 with what should be a good enough RPI to net a 2 seed.

But how much would they care about A&M's women's basketball title?

We'll a lot of them are Aggies so they either already know or would care slightly.

You seem to hold some serious resentment toward your former school. Is everything okay? Did a guy in the corps of cadets spurn your advances?

34 wins & a .500 records will put you squarely on the bubble. You should hope for more than that.

I think you're going to see some really weird shite this year, with so many experienced players returning across the country who would normally have moved on to pro ball. I expect a lot of carnage in the post season, with some highly ranked teams not making it out of their own regional.

In 2019, Auburn was 36-25, Baylor was 34-18, Indiana 36-22, A&M 39-22, and ASU was 37-18 and all landed 2 seeds.

Auburn was 14-16 in conference, A&M was 16-13-1.

I expect we are going to grab an additional win or two in Hoover, as well, so 35/36-21 in a year where a lot of teams are playing shortened schedules while we have series with the current 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 12, and 25 ranked teams according to D1Baseball should be good enough.

Good to see the baseball program slowly getting its footing back. Conference schedule will be brutal this year.

Wow. An Aggie accusing another Aggie of making a pass at another male Aggie.

At least you own the stereotype man.

Big series in Austin starting this Friday. The Longhorns' pitching vs. Carolina's hitting should be one of the better matchups in college baseball this weekend.

Somewhat remarkable that both teams haven't played each other since the CWS in 2002

Added Collegiate Baseball

A few SEC players on their player of the week list.

quote:

RHP Bryce Miller, Texas A&M: Miller fanned a career-high 15 New Mexico St. batters, including 12 in the first 5 innings, without yielding a walk. It was the highest total for an Aggie since Casey Fossum struck out 15 Baylor batters during the 1998 season. Miller combined with Chandler Jozwiak to fan 21 New Mexico St. batters, 1 strikeout shy of the school record 22 set last season against Army.

3B Tim Elko, Mississippi: Elko hit 5 home runs and collected 13 RBI over 5 games as he scored 8 runs. He recorded 10 hits over 5 games.

In a stacked SEC it will get you a 2 or 3 seed due to high RPI

I looked at the schedule and it was rough. I still believe Vandy will win the SEC but I don't see them dominating. I expect some ties for both east and west teams.
