If Texas is such a great job, why have they had such bad coaching hires the last 10 or 11 years? They’ve hired 3 new HC in that time and all of them were like their 5th or 6th choices…

And all 3 HC have sucked.

Because no one worth a shite wants to deal with the politics and meddling boosters that come with that job.

Without Stetson Bennett, Georgia has 0 national championships in the last 40 years.

Georgia fans like to act like their program is on stronger footing that it really is.

Without Stetson Bennett, UGA has 6 top 10 finishes from 2020 to 2011.
8 ranked finishes from 2020 to 2012 (or 2022 to 2012 if you want the full 11 seasons).

Yep, you are indeed that stupid.

Congrats on being the the 1 LSU fan who wants to rank your good seasons on whether you beat Texas A&M or not.

I'm not going to say that you can't. But it sounds stupid to me.

Yet no natties for 40 years.

Natties > "ranked finishes"

Interesting.

How many times in that span have you won the West?

What do you expect us to do without Joe Burrow, Metchie, Williams, or Marvin Harrison on our team?
How can we possibly be expected to win a natty without them?

What the frick are you talking about? This has nothing to do with good or bad seasons. You claimed LSU without Joe Burrow is Texas A&M. You then claimed you would not consider the head to head record when making that claim. That is stupid by any metric.

You can read the thread if you need to. It is all there.

An LSU fan is bagging on A&M for AP rankings in the last 11 seasons (11?).

I pointed out LSUs rankings the past 11 years.
(Bagging on them in the same fashion they did to A&M).

Do you want to tell me what head to head has to do with any of that?

Stupid is claiming that head to head is some relevance to AP rankings.
At the end of the day, he was trying to make a point about national relevance (that's what the AP ranks... just in case you didn't know).

You are welcome to apologize for throwing "stupid" around like Halloween candy when you can't follow along within a a thread.

2. Texas

These guys are such clowns that make these lists. there isn't a more meddling, hands on, do what I say because I give x number of dollars to the school than this one.
This one wouldn't realistically be a top 50 job based on that alone. They would have paid Nick LITERALLY whatever he wanted and he said no.
If it is so great they would have won way more than they have. period.

Dudes working in insurance love to repeat this as fact on sports message boards. You have no clue what goes on within Alabama's athletic department, let alone Texas's.

I remember Saban said regarding the Texas job in the past that he didn't want another rebuilding job.

This is true. LSU has won 100 and we have won 90 since 2012.

Bama - 139
Georgia - 121
LSU - 100
A&M - 90
Auburn - 90
Florida - 86
Miss State - 83
Ole Miss - 77
USC - 75
Mizzou - 75
Tennessee - 73
Kentucky - 68
Arkie - 56
Vandy - 52

I forgot that James Franklin was fielding some decent Vandy squads right around the time we joined in 2012.

Spurrier had the gamecocks rolling then as well.

Mizzou was doing really well under Pinkel.

Shows you how fickle success can be.

Edit for the newbs-

UT Longhorns - 78 wins
Okie Sooners - 112 wins

Texas #2 LMFAO. Its where careers die why would anyone want to work where the leadership is piss poor and they allow the Texas Exes too much control which is why Texas cant land a big fish

When they don't have an all-time great coach they don't really win championships

This is literally everyone excluding Ed Orgeron and Gene Chizik though

Taking away Bryant and Saban's accomplishments

All time record: 526-268 (.662)- #14 all time win % and higher than LSU, Florida, and Auburn

Uncontroversial national championships: 5
SEC Championships: 8 (tied with Auburn and Florida all-time), SoCon championships: 4

tl;dr- erase nearly 40 years of the most accomplished tenures in cfb history and Alabama is still a better program than Auburn

The media loves themselves some burnt orange. Once upon a time it was a good job.

It's probably the hardest job in the state because the city of Austin has gone to trash, the fans all think they should be in the championship every year, and the school is riddled with this crap - I've never seen so many sexually-confused degenerates in my life ...
