He's an overrated soft finesse style coach.

At his age, that's not the most flattering list for BK.

It's actually crazy how few active head coaches have national championships to their name in college football. Just three actually:

1. Kirby Smart (2021, 2022)
2. Dabo Swinney (2016, 2018)
3. Mack Brown (2005)

Compare that to this time 20 years ago:

1. Nick Saban (2003)
2. Pete Carroll (2003)
3. Jim Tressel (2002)
4. Larry Coker (2001)
5. Bob Stoops (2000)
6. Bobby Bowden (1993, 1999)
7. Phillip Fulmer (1998)
8. Lloyd Carr (1997)
9. Lou Holtz (1988)
10. Joe Paterno (1982, 1986)

Day is too high, Riley is too high, Kiffin is too low.

Feels like a lifetime achievement award for Kelly at this point.

Yep. Can't objectively rank him ahead of DeBoer as of right now.

Its ok, Kelly just hasn’t had the opportunities yet. He only got 12 years at one of the most legendary schools of all time, and 2 at LSU where it seems like any Bozo can find enough talent to win a natty.

Considering Mike Gundy has remained as successful as he's been for over a decade with nothing but mostly <= 3 stars, I would put him much higher on the list.

I’m too lazy to google ages, but basically B Kelly and K Whittingham are the two old guys of the list, most of the rest would be “younger/up and comer” guys. Looks pretty straightforward to me.

But as y’all lsu fans like to say to us, go ahead and print the cups! Number one offseason coach without a natty.

The list looks legit to me. Therefore, it must be right!
