Pretty sure you're supposed to print trophies for coaches.

Y’all remember that Burger King commercial when the dude gets up from a restless sleep to go downstairs and grab a midnight snack out of the fridge, and when he closes the door and turns around, there’s the fricking Burger King King in the middle of his kitchen just standing there, speechless, with a whopper in his hands? Like he just broke in there Sexy Sadie style? frickin creepy but it’s kinda funny.

That’s why you’re a sidewalk fan and not a real fan.

That's pretty neat, maybe next they'll release a list of the best chefs without restaurant or drivers without a license

You just owned yourself. Nice job.

Feels like a lifetime achievement award for Kelly at this point.

The melts after LSU fans realize the biggest wins in Brian Kelly's entire career are a regular season game against Alabama and being #1 on some CBS sports writer's top 10 list?

Lots of guys never win a title, even many legends only have 1 or 2.
I can see Kelly being at or near the top with his body of work (very strong at Notre Dame, solid at Cincy, making an immediate impact at LSU now).
Not sure I'd put Norvell ahead of Day, and I'd probably put Whittingham a good bit higher (Utah doesn't have the ceiling a lot of other schools on this list have).
I'd probably also put Ferentz a lot higher, just given the fact that Iowa will never compete for a title no matter what. But he's a great coach, and he'd probably change the game similar to Saban if he had went somewhere top tier.
Franklin is a joke, even at 10. If you swapped him with Ferentz, Iowa would be a 6-6 team and Penn State would have made some playoffs.

Kelly couldn't beat FSU the last two years.

Nobody should doubt FSU has the capability to contend for a title, if they're serious. I'd put them in the same category as Clemson, maybe a bit higher. Their immediate goal would be to win the ACC, and overcoming Clemson to do so should generally put them at Top 5 level, and able to beat anyone in a given day.
The problem LSU faces is the same as other SEC schools; there's the Alabama/Georgia 2 headed monster at the top to chase, but there's also 3-4 other teams in similar position, that you have to also contend with. Some years that's Fla and Auburn, right now it seems to be Ole Miss and Tennessee (and who knows if Missouri is legit in this chase too).
The way UGA got to the head of the class wasn't to focus on single years, it was by building up it's program over time. That's how Alabama got there too.
That seems to be what Fla State has been doing, taking another step each year. Whether it was all to get to this past year, or if they can sustain, we will see.
I think Kelly is doing that with LSU. Seems like the offense has been established (fingers crossed), now we have to step up on defense without dropping off elsewhere.

The window is closing quickly for Brian Kelly. If you look at the last 40 years, only two coaches won their first national championship in their 60s. Bobby Bowden was 63 years old when he won his first national championship. Jim Harbaugh turned 60 two weeks before he won his this year. And he then promptly left the college grind.
Looking at the last 40 years, the average age that a coach won his first (in some cases only) national championship was 51 years old. Multiple coaches did it in their 40s. Only one did after age 62. If Kelly, who will turn 63 this season, doesn’t win one in the next few years he won’t ever win one. It may already be too late. Past performance is the best predictor of future performance. History tells us that if a coach is capable of winning a national championship, he will have won one before he reaches his mid 60s.

If we take the names on that list and rank them as most likely to win a national championship, it will look vastly different. Norvell, Day, Deboer, Riley and Kiffin are all currently in their 40s. Lanning is in his 30s. Sarkisian just turned 50. I feel certain that at least a couple of them will win a national championship in their careers. I feel just as certain that Whittingham (64) and Ferentz (69) will not. Franklin? He is only 52 so maybe. Gundy (56) and Kelly (62)? Possible but not likely. College football coaches all have expiration dates. And we aren’t too many years from those two getting marked down for quick sale. Gundy may be fine, Oklahoma State doesn’t have super high expectations and demands. But LSU?

Heupel is better than everyone on that list.
Bryan Kelly is the most overrated coach ever.
Had a generational talent at QB and stacked on offense only to lose 3 regular season games. Pathetic.
After next year he will be on the hot seat or damn well near it. The drop off will be epic. His soft finesse teams don't play defense and run the ball like little timid kittens instead of tigers.

Why is Michigan in the top 10? This is crazy because he had zero HC experience. Some key coaches left and the same for key players left. Who would think Michigan would be back in the playoff?
Alabama is a different story. The HC was in the playoffs with lesser talented players. Alabama has one of the top talents on its roster. How the heck someone decided Alabama is not going to be good and not make the playoff this coming season. Alabama still might not make it but saying Michigan has a far greater chance than Alabama?
Then there is the Mizzou team that is returning key players minus running back but Mizzou got a good running back from the portal and the defense will have little to no drop off.

So what you're sayin is he's the biggest loser?
