I realize the regular season wasn't that special, but Oklahoma turned it up to full blast in the playoffs. They went through top seaded teams like a buzzsaw. No other team throughout college baseball history would have won the natty this year.
Congratulations to the college baseball GOAT Oklahoma Sooners.

Nope 2024 Tennessee Vols
-Regular Season Champs
-SEC Tournament Champs
-First 1 Seed to win since the 20th century
-Beat another SEC team in the natty
-Won 60 games
This is the most complete season of all time. However congrats to OU they did great

I didnt say it was a first. Im saying beating an SEC team in the natty is harder than beating an ACC team. Can you read?

This team would've won pretty easily this year.
I'd put the 2023 LSU team up against anyone. It had the best college pitcher and arguably baseball player of all time, who was an important automatic win in a best of 3 series. Our #2 starter was a 1st round pick.
That team had the best top to bottom offense I've seen in college baseball as well. Crews was so good that there was a real discussion teams were having about picking him #1 over Skenes. The lineup also had Tanks, along with a ton of veteran firepower l. Most of the lineup hit near or over .300 and we had like 12+ guys reach double figures in HRs.

Oklahoma knocked out the Big 12 champs, ACC champs, and SEC champs on their way to winning it all. What other team has ever done that?

Those LSU and Tennessee teams cited above were consistent throughout the entire season.
This Oklahoma team was not.
This Oklahoma team was not.

no we beat 4 conference champs and tourney champs …. the Citadel as well. We beat 2,3,4 teams . we couldn’t beat number one because they were eliminated

2019 Vanderbilt is definitely in the discussion with 2024 Tennessee
Better SEC conference record
Better SEC tournament record
Better overall winning %
Better SEC conference record
Better SEC tournament record
Better overall winning %

2024 Tennessee had a better record (overall, in conference, and Omaha), won the conference (regular season and tournament), and was a higher overall seed (#1) than 2023 LSU.
In addition to all that, 2024 Tennessee had a higher batting average, more home runs, a lower ERA, and a higher fielding percentage than 2023 LSU.
2023 LSU was a great team but they didnt have the accolades or stats that 2024 Tennessee had

There will be arguments and debates in this thread, but one thing NOBODY will argue is that Alabama ever had a baseball team that belongs in the conversation.

Leave it up to insecure LSU fans to bring up Alabama in a thread about Oklahoma.
