Bryce Young= worthless Heisman winner. It was anointed to him before the season even started. Mid player.

Bryce's last 5 games are what won him the trophy, though.
158/238 (66%)
2,240 yards (448 YPG)
9.4 YPA
19 TD / 0 INT
Average game last 5 : 31/47, 448 yards, 4 TD/0 INT
Mainly the capper - 26/44 for 421 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs vs #1 Georgia in Atlanta.
Daniels would be my pick as of today.

Daniels is in the hunt just as Bryce was through 7 games. If Daniels can keep putting up numbers and win out, I think the Heisman is his.
If LSU drops another game though, he's probably out of the picture.

I think Daniels would absolutely have to beat Alabama and have a good to great SECCG to have a shot.
Sucks that we're wasting such a great offense in this crap defense.

I'll agree, there were better winners than Bryce Young. The field wasn't very stacked that season.
Daniels is being hurt by two losses. Tebow won it with 4 losses in 2007 but he shouldn't have. McFadden or Colt Brennen were better that year. Tebow had a better case in 08 than in 07.

Bryce played only a half in most games.
LSU is keeping Daniels in games well past when it's over to drive/cheat his numbers.

Bryce was undefeated vs Ole Miss.

Bryce played in the 4th quarter of 12 of our 15 games.
That logic applied to Tua in 2019, not Bryce in 2021.

Whether fair or no, Daniels has two losses hanging around his neck like an anchor. For him to have a shot LSU has to win out, Washington probably also has to lose, and Oregon might need to lose again. Throw the Michigan QB in there too if they go undefeated. Not saying Daniels isn't as good or better than any of those other guys, but that's the way the award usually works.

I think that if Daniels were to have a good game against Bama but lose, he definitely could still win as long as he puts up big numbers to close out the season. And as long as there is a significant gap between his numbers, and the next player closest.

You guys just wanted Oklahoma and Texas to feel at home; you just got started a year early.

Was Tebow the last winner who didn't win at least 10 games, and Manziel the last who didn't win at least their conference?

We’ve only had 2 rent a wins and he came out very early in both.

This isn’t accurate
For instance, he attempted 15 passes and came out at halftime last weekend. He played only the first half against Grambling. He played through the 3rd quarter against St. The only game LSU had a insurmountable lead that he continued to play was Auburn; however, he attempted one total pass once LSU had > a 2 score lead.
He's stayed in most games until the end, yes, but it's because LSU's defense has been bad and LSU hasn't had many big leads where Daniels can come out.
