Wrong!

We’ve only had 2 rent a wins and he came out very early in both.

I was going to say... it feels like he's had to stay in most games because of the defense.

He played 1/2 series in the 4th quarter against MSU (it started during the 3rd, ended in the 4th, then sat for the last two - that drive is what put LSU up 41-7)

It's weirder he didn't come out for the last drive against Auburn, which was in the 4th and LSU was already up 41-18 at that point. That's about the only one that really feels like a headscratcher. If he had gotten injured on that drive, I think LSU fans would have been calling for Kelly's head.

Something that ole piss can hang their season on.... one hit, LOL.

Lane and jimbo have a lot in common as a SEC HC.

Yeah I was wondering why he was in the game at that point.

He’s a totally different player than Bryce so I don’t think it’s a legit comparison.

Just proves the Heisman is a popularity contest.

True, though both have one thing in common: Carrying a team on their backs.

Whether fair or no, Daniels has two losses hanging around his neck like an anchor. For him to have a shot LSU has to win out, Washington probably also has to lose, and Oregon might need to lose again. Throw the Michigan QB in there too if they go undefeated. Not saying Daniels isn't as good or better than any of those other guys, but that's the way the award usually works.

It's pretty dumb.

JD5 is being punished more for the loss to Ole Miss (because the defense gave up 55 points) than Penix is for throwing 2 picks and giving up a fumble to a 1-6 unranked team at home.

Washington didn't even manage to score an offensive touchdown in that game.

And JJ McCarthy being touted as a Heisman candidate is laughable. Dude has solely been a game manager vs a pretty bad schedule.

Was Tebow the last winner who didn't win at least 10 games, and Manziel the last who didn't win at least their conference?

Lamar Jackson and RGIII both already had 3 losses when the Heisman was presented to them. Baylor won their bowl game, Louisville did not.

RGIII got blown out twice, but finished the back half of the season with a top 10 win over Oklahoma and blew out Texas to close out his regular season.

Lamar was interesting. He finished the season with 2 straight losses (3 if you include the bowl game), getting blown out by Houston and losing on the road to Kentucky. His only big time win was blowing out FSU in week 3.

As usual you are wrong.

Daniels comes out when the game (i.e., LSU’s defense) allows for it.

Jimbo put up 55 points and beat LSU with their "heisman" QB?

Lane is horrible...he's just 2-2 against Redstick.

These are such lazy arguments. Daniels, nor Young, play defense.

In LSU's 2 losses, Daniels' was 49/73 for 760 yards and 5 TDs through the air and added another 163 yards rushing w 1 TD on the ground.

Daniels is really good but the truth is LSU has only played one real defense so far and that defense held them pretty well.

Will know a lot more when they play Bama.

Yet NEITHER of them have what CBK has after year one as an SEC HC....... an SECW title and an SECCG appearance.

Tell me... and be honest for once, has either jimbo or kiffin accomplished either of those?

LSU’s offense goes almost as much because of the O line, Diggs, and the receivers as because of Jayden. It’s not a one man show at all.

It was more Bryce being able to manage game winning drives down the stretch, and him absolutely embarrassing UGA's "GOAT defense" in Atlanta that won him the trophy

There's QBs that have better stats throughout history, but Daniels will get his chance to prove he deserves it down the stretch just like Bryce did
