I would have thought Missouri would have come in higher. They used to have a good reputation. Maybe the SJW stuff is pulling them down.

They’re still part of the AAU.

Why has Alabama fallen so much?

They changed up the formula in their rankings about 4 or 5 years ago and ever since we have slid more than any other university at the same time our student body has increased in quality. It doesn't matter though, because I know and everyone else knows that after UGA the rest of the universities are practically the same as far as quality is concerned

#7 Top public university FSU is top 20 now too. Gotta give those frickers credit. And USF top 50.

Missouri will bounce back when all that bullshite bad exposures are long gone and people start enjoying Missouri once again. Missouri is now up in enrollment and Missouri football team should be a lot better in a couple of years. So far Missouri got rid of the bad apples. Right now things are turning out to be a lot better than last few years. I am very happy with the progress Missouri is doing right now. You might not see the results right now but in a couple of years it shall be a lot better. Missouri just fixed the key problems recently and give it a few more years to show it.

Pretty much. I know MSU is ranked low but we have a lot of great engineers from there.

Yet people wonder why some recruits would rather go to Georgia than LSU or Bama.

Thank God for Vandy. The SEC needs at least one private school with smart people. Go Dores.

Florida and Georgia, the states, have had similar trajectories in the last 20 years. Lottery scholarships gave guaranteed all of both state's top 10% free rides to in state universities, but UF and UGA can't accommodate demand. Those students trickle out to the other universities in the state, leading to a "rising tide lifts all boats" kind of situation.

A buddy of mine still working at UF told me the acceptance rate at UF next years is expected to be under 20%. That's nuts, and that also means that a lot of really good high school students are going to end up at FSU, USF, UCF, and so on if they want to keep that paid-for college education.

Too many of these Universities are chasing these list and selling their souls. Bama and Auburn are perfect examples, catering to the out of student and ignoring their mission to the state citizens who built the schools.

Looks like SEC football is inversely proportional to Academic rankings
