Linesmakers and Handicappers much much much sharper than yourself..

Had 2019 LSU between 13.5 to 17 over every team in the 2024 Field..including OSU..entering this playoff..

Even should OSU finish it on a heater..it's doubtful they close that handicap gap to anything closer than 9.5 to 13.

Zip the problem with the SEC teams is not talent overall, but lack of a great qb on every team in the league,

I would not draft any qb leaving the SEC this year until the 5th round.

I'm an OSU alum, and this is really a dumb question and bad look.

Can't you just be happy for the moment ? .yes our defense is legit elite, but our offense has it's moments of "wtf just happened"

Funny.

You really need to go back and study that lsu season. Lsu played like 7 or 8 top 10 teams.

2019 LDU narrowly escaped a mid Auburn and Texas team. Then, they almost lost to a Bama team that trotted out an unpracticed Tua which had an uncharacteristically sluggish start that ultimately decided the game. If Tua was 100% and didn't miss a month of action, he wouldn't have been so rusty to start the game and thus, Bama wins bigly.

2019 was the best Alabama team ever assembled.
Tua, Najee Harris, Waddle, Ruggs, Jerry Jeudy, Devonta Smith.

Not once did they lead LSU nor have the ball with the chance to take the lead after LSU's first possession.

2024 OSU wouldn't score against 2020 Bama, so dont even bring in 2019 LSU.

It’s like ppl forget that LSU defense had multiple high draft picks and they tended to level up their play against good comp. Derek Stingley, Patrick queen, grant Delpit, Kristian Fulton, k’lavon chaissan, Phillips. Derek Stingley would’ve held his own vs Jeremiah smith, Kristian Fulton could guard Carnell Tate, their pass rush could’ve gotten after will howard. Joe burrow would’ve carved OSU’s defense. I don’t think their corners could hang with Justin Jefferson and Ja’marr. OSU corners are good but there’s no Derek Stingley level talent in that cb room who can hang with guys like Jefferson and chase . LSU is winning this

Burrow and Tagovailoa put on a show in that legendary Alabama-LSU matchup in 2019. Burrow finished 31 of 39 passing for 393 yards and three TDs. That was the signature performance in his Heisman Trophy season, and the Tigers beat Clemson 42-25 to cap off the perfect season.

A total of 55 players who were on the LSU and Alabama roster for that game were selected in the NFL Draft.

A total of 37 of the 44 starters on offense and defense were drafted.

There were 18 first-round picks between the two teams.
The starting quarterbacks, running backs and receivers from both teams were all taken within the first two rounds of the NFL Draft.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Both teams were great. LSU was better. It doesn't hurt me to say it.

2019 LSU vs 2020 Alabama never played and never will. The SEC was strong as fuk back then....still is....just not this disproportionately so.

This is a stupid thread. LSU would destroy them. Late in the year that offense was absolutely humming. That team beat multiple NFL starting QBs and you think Skyler Howard would lead them to victory? If their QB was a top 10 type of pick then maybe because they have some great weapons.

Tua would need to be in good health. What a shame he never learned to fall down correctly or give up on a pass play - throw it out of bounds.
Bama's OLine was better in 2020...by a good bit.
