Theirs a reason the kid even rocks 99 like AD. Kid is an absolute animal inside perfect convo of quickness, pass rush moves, athleticism and power. Hell reach a point where he’s unblockable 1 on 1

Pure stubbornness. Lane was hell bent on not giving Trinidad big plays over the top but it still lead to him throwing for nearly 250 yards in a half. His ties to Trinidad ended up working against us when it came to the initial gameplan he clearly had too much respect for his ability and crafted a scared game plan.
Funny enough our more aggressive man coverage heavy 2nd half held him to only 112 passing yards and less than 60 percent completion percentage.

Deuce was always gonna be more ready to play than Lamar. Deuce was an early enrollee, Lamar didn’t get here till the summer. Plus Lamar had limited DL experience in HS so there was going to be a growing period. Deuce was a blue chipper himself he’s a top 100 overall recruit and the best interior pass rush in the 25 class. Lamar has still flashed his strength and athleticism when he’s seen the field he will be a good player for us

He’s the type of natural deep safety we’ve been missing. Has good size (6’1), smooth operator in coverage, rangy , great long speed and doesn’t shy away from the run game

I think moving Benefield to star gets your two best pure cover safeties patrolling the deep part of the field in Cooley and Jhase Thomas. Benefield is at his best wrecking the LOS and flying around in the box similar to a Jamal Adams. He can also be used as a deep safety when needed but someone like Jhase Thomas is a much more natural fit at deep safety.
Thomas’s emergence allowed us to move Benefield to take over Spears’s spot. It’s crazy to see how good of a spot we are at safety in terms of depth compared to where we were just 2 years ago when we had guys like sage ryan, jardin gilbet and major burns starting in that spot.

Yea that’s a frustrating rep the A&M rushed bullrushed him and walked him down enough to get a hand on sam’s long ball which caused the pick instead of a 70 plus yard that that also would’ve given Harris a 200 plus yard night.
Satterwhite was relatively solid in pass pro but shaky in run blocking

I think the lightbulb is starting to turn on for that kid. His pass blocking was excellent and he was physical in the run game. Still need better constantly from him but the flashes are happening more and more this year. Truly like the way he’s coming along. Gonna need him to continue elevating his play with physical d lines we have to play coming up soon
we’re on our way to flipping Easton Royal, Phillip wright when he’s healthy next year will be a good player, Jabari Mack has a lot of potential. Boot boy studs will be back in wr room soon

Agreed the whit injury sucksss but we are deep at lb. Losing green sucks but it forces other guys to step up in his absence like Jackson Harris.
Now if we were to lose a guy in a position where depth is thin that’s when shite gets sticky. Like we absolutely can’t lose dj Pickett or princewill those would be two loses tough to overcome.

The 4th and 1 stop was a perfect example of that. Richard Anderson absolutely walked back the center and allowed our lbs to fly in and make a TFL. The run fitting and having 10 hats fly to the ball carrier has been excellent so far

Currently we’re no.1 in the country at rushing defense only giving up 47 rushing YPG. I remember in the offseason the interior d line was a question mark and so far they have held strong stonewalling the run game.
It’s been a long time since we’ve had a LSU defense that can shut down physical rushing attacks. A&M bullied us on the ground the past 2 years it felt good to see the team match the physicality and suffocate their run game. Hopefully the run defense can hold strong without weeks I believe in keys and singleton to hold it down next to dottery.

Pj woodland missing a tackle on lacy and diving into Dashawn spears’s knee and Jhase Thomas flying in to try to take out the A&M back and accidently taking out weeks is absolutely brutal brutal breaks. Silver lining is apparently theirs optimism it isn’t a season ender for weeks but sheesh man.

He’s a spectacular catch merchant. He doesn’t consistently create enough separation, not a great route runner and drops easy passes. The Auburn system was blamed for his inconsistent production but the reality is he’s not a complete wr at all.

Cam Coleman: 12 catches, 208 yards , 4 touchdowns, 17.3 YPG
Many folks were crying that we should’ve went after cam Coleman when our wideouts got off to a slow start but Jackson Harris has essentially similar production with an edge in YPG and overall yards.
I also hope Easton Royal is seeing how lane gets his playmakers the ball compared to sark.
