Only Bammers and LA Pedophiles can not recognize the truth of this season. You have both boxes checked.

This is dumb.

Didn't read beyond QB. Outside of the 2 x pick sixes vs AU, Mac played well. And, with a year to prep as the known full time starter, his experience and development showed. Plus, AJ looked pretty shite vs AU as well in 2010 when he went in for GMAC. Then had an okay career at Bama, no?

Players get better year to year. How different was 2018 LSU compared to 2019 LSU in terms of personnel, yet the production went up significantly

2019 may have had more talent, but 2020 played TOGETHER as a TEAM with greater chemistry than I've ever seen of a Bama team. They all played for each other and the synergy of their efforts produced a better onfield product in all 3 phases of the game than in 2019.

2018 LSU had players that got better, and became members of the greatest team of all time.

2019 Alabama had great players who left and were replaced with worse players at several positions, namely quarterback

You’re forgotting about the OL, the best in Bama history. 2020 Bama was better

I'm not "forgotting" about anything. 2019 Line > 2020 Line

In conclusion, 2019 Alabama was far and away the better team out of the two Alabama squads

The only fricking morons who believe this are LSU fans.

Weird, huh?

ETA: Let's just take Nick Saban's word for it and call it a day:

quote:

You had a couple teams, 2016, 2018, that came close to going undefeated. This team actually did it. What do you think is the legacy of this team finishing the undefeated season?

Well, to me, this team accomplished more than any team. No disrespect to any other teams that we had or any championship teams. But this team won 11 SEC games. No other team has done that. They won the SEC, went undefeated in the SEC, then they beat two great teams in the Playoffs with no break in between.

This is our fifth game in a row, from LSU to Arkansas to Florida to Notre Dame to here. Played 13 games, went undefeated with all the disruption that we had in this season. I think there's quite a bit to write about when it comes to the legacy of the team.

"same personnel = push" is a dumb argument.
2020 LSU missed on some talent that left, for sure.

Which makes this thread down right silly. Harris improved a lot from 19 to 20.

It's not like I made a thread without having the first clue what I was talking about it.

Sorry buddy, but 2020 Alabama was just plain worse than 2019 Alabama at several key positions. I will say that in the context of the 2020 season, Alabama was maybe the most dominant team of all time. However, in no way does that mean that 2020 Alabama was the best team of all time.

In fact, there were at least 4 teams last year that would've won it all this year. I know you don't want to face the facts, but you - and many other Bama fans - need to.

For the record, I totally agree with Saban's comment about 2020 Bama's accomplishments. They were by far the most dominant team in a season with lower competition than any other.

2019 Alabama is just a BETTER team.

You know you can still reasonably argue 2019 LSU is the better team without saying laughable things like "the 2019 Alabama defensive line is better than 2020", right?

You give them too much credit, George.
