Highlights of Auburn vs LSU 2017
Was watching the highlights of this game and can't decide if LSU won it, or did Auburn lose it?
I mean LSU did have more Passing yards and more Total yards than Auburn did in the game. During the game I thought Auburn folded and gave the game away. But after re watching it, I think Coach O was just better than Gus that night. What say you?

Some of both. Gus clinched-up and Aranda adjusted the D.

7 million dollar coaching right there from good ole Gus

I absolutely refuse to watch that game again, and never will. I have every day since acted like it didn't happen. frick that game. To answer your question, I think AU definitely lost it, but they did get wayyy better after that game so... frick it

LSU also had a big special teams play for a TD, too...Nah...LSU wanted this game more. Difference was like night and day the second half.

That should be my next question...does Auburn feel good overpaying Gus to keep him from going to Arkansas?

do we feel good about having one of the best coaches in the country who beat two #1 teams and won tWest last season?
Sure do
do you feel good about having Coach O? I mean, he does talk like you

Half of our starting D was out. We had major depth issues last year.

The narrative changes year by year, doesn't it?

Mostly due to our true freshman safety not knowing his assignment on two huge plays.
Auburn fans conveniently like to ignore this when talking about how "they lost it"

This is a fair point. Curious if this was for the entire year, or were these players back on the field at the end of the year when you played Bama and UGA?

If I had read this post sooner, I could have skipped my morning coffee as I would have been fueled for the whole day.
I still would've eaten the bowl of cheese grits though.
Speaking of breakfast, does Gus have his own Waffle House song yet?

Sure he can be frustrating at times, but is my statement wrong?

What did it feel like watching your two greatest rivals play for a National Championship against each other while you sat at home?

Gus is the new Les. Choked at the end of the season, flirted with Arkansas to get a raise anyway. Auburn is about to decline hard, Gus has zero reason to give a frick anymore.

Both.
Everyone knows Gus is a significantly better football coach than O, but not that night. O made decent halftime adjustments, got some momentum, and Gus was out there clinching up like prime Tuberville.

That was all Aranda.
This game was all Gus vs Dave, not Gus vs Ed

Say what you will about Gus, but he is known to everyone as someone maniacally obsessed with being a great football coach. Time will tell if he can make the leap from good to great but it's certainly all he cares about.
