This is true, but I don't think the teams were as far apart in the 1st half as the score indicated.

Gus is a good person. He likes to help out teams that aren't going to affect his team by the end of the year. It made no difference to Auburn and made LSU's season at the same time.

This game basically broke the Auburn fan base and put Gus on an inferno of a hot seat
