Wonder how much that and Lamar Jackson having pretty much won it already will impact the TV ratings.

He's literally the Myles Garrett of QBs. Pads stats against god awful teams and folds when he plays real competition, save for Clemson.

I'm honestly not so sure Jackson wins it with how he finished the season losing the final two games and throwing 3 picks against Kentucky. I know Jackson has the stats, but it wouldn't shock me to see Watson win

Were the TV ratings ever that great anyways?
In fact its such a shitty cast of characters (highlighted by Peppers who is a joke) that more people watch just to see the train wreck

vs Florida State:
216 yards passing, 1 passing TD
147 yards rushing, 4 rushing TDs
vs Clemson:
295 yards passing, 1 passing TD
162 yards rushing, 2 rushing TDs
vs Kentucky (bowl eligible):
211 yards passing, 2 passing TDs
171 yards rushing, 2 rushing TDs
vs NC State (bowl eligible):
355 yards passing, 3 passing TDs
76 yards rushing, 1 rushing TD
vs Boston College (bowl eligible):
231 yards passing, 4 passing TDs
185 yards rushing, 3 rushing TDs
vs Wake Forest (bowl eligible):
145 yards passing, 1 passing TD
153 yards rushing
Seems like he was pretty damn good against the good/solid teams on their schedule...
...but don't let stats stop you from spewing your SEC biased nonsense

Dude had one bad game vs Houston. Not his fault his defense was garbage vs Kentucky.

Great player. Turnover prone sometimes tho. Amazingly elusive runner. He should win it.

This really is a lousy year for the Heisman. When the clear cut front-runner is a player from a 3 loss Louisville team. With all due respect to Lamar.

Lamar won the Heisman against Charlotte in the first game.
Fact.
Fact.

No, Lamar Jackson is fricking good. Heisman.

Yeah because if Alabama doesn't have a rep in NY for the Heisman, who could possibly care? It's Jackson, Watson and Baker Mayfield? Jackson or bust.

Totally agree. That's been a flawed approach that goes back years and years, particularly in the era of Notre Dame dominance.
It must be based on a ridiculous logical fallacy that the best player on the best team must be the best player in college football.

I mean... Manziel and RGIII won it and they certainly weren't on the best teams

Eh that's not always the case. Seems like that's the case moreso when there hasn't been a clear cut favorite. Plenty of guys have won it without being on one of or the best teams

Not at all, see 2007 when Tim Tebow won the Heisman on a 3-loss Florida team, and McFadden came in second on a 4-loss Arkansas team.
Nothing lousy about either of those teams.
