2002 and it was ugly...fights galore - not in stands but near concessions... just a dangerous place for Gumps at the time... minus the field, where it was a massacre.

2007. First time I remember BDS being loud. I think we ran a punt back and it was deafening.

2008 in Baton Rouge. Rashad Johnson threw me his gloves after the game by the tunnel. I believe he was National Defensive Player of the Week after that game. Crazy atmosphere that night

Been to every LSU Alabama game in the state of Louisiana since 2004.

2004 was the first time my dad he had seen LSU beat Alabama in person.

I'm pretty sure 2000 was my first.
The refs used the video board for replay before it existed to determine LSU had the ball after Alabama muffed a punt. The goal posts came down since it was the first home victory for LSU in the series since 1969. I've been to 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2018 and will be there this year. I was on campus for 2012 and 2014 but didn't go into the game.

1969 Scott Hunter was Bama's qb. Seems like LSU had bama down 17 to 3 and hung on to win. Bama went for 2 point conversions after 2 late td's. Bear said he messed up going for them.

1978. Didn't really care at the time. Took a date to the game and Alabama won, 31-10.

First one when it mattered to me was in 1980, my freshman year and Alabama won, 28-7. Alabama had just lost to Mississippi State the week before , 6-3 and was a little testy.

2002 was my first LSU/Bama game that I can remember. Went to the game every year since then until last year's (couldn't secure babysitters). We'll be there this year.

Javier Arenas, def thought we had a real chance to lose after that, team showed a lot of heart in that game.

If we had lost to Saban in year 1 it would have been a disaster

2012 sugar bowl,

All those field goals were killing me, I was thinking LSU was going to get some kind of spark and turn it around.

I didn't think we had it in the bag until midway through the 4th quarter.

I would still love to know the Jarrett Lee story, I can't believe he didn't get a shot to play in the game. I always thought Miles was a stand-up coach but something has always seemed really wrong with that situation.

2003. Bought me and my dad a ticket in Tuscaloosa from Brodie Croyle’s dad ten minutes before kickoff.

Saban beat the shite out of Bama that night, 27-3

Allegedly there was a spygate situation, at least that's the story that has gone around since then (story also goes that we benefited from same in 2003 BCSCG against Oklahoma which was also in the dome). Who knows but there's no doubt the LSU team in the dome that day was not the same one I had seen play all year. As for Lee, Les was nothing if not stubborn & believed only a mobile QB could beat Bama & Lee had struggled mightily in the 9-6 game IIRC

That was an afternoon game and it was Dennis Riddle who scored the only TD, can't remember if there was a late INT
