Clearly you have not followed CFB since Colt got broken

1 of 17 = BuckNuts, not the nutless bovine college in austin.

SEC West over the past 20 years as been the best division in the best conference in college football. That explains probably 60% of the totals.

Alabama - 6
LSU - 2
Auburn - 1

53%, so yep

Considering how much bias favored Northern and Western schools for decades, its hard to feel bad for them now.

Very true. I used to live in the Northeast. They're oblivious to CFB.

I don't know if you consider PA "Northeast" or "Mid Atlantic". But Penn State fans care about college football. My sister had a birthday party for her kids in September. Her MIL set up a TV on the driveway and got shitfaced while watching Penn State football. And this was in Philly.

So either State or Ole Miss will win it next season.

I disagree

It is karma biting the B1G and PAC for decades of dictators and East and Midwest bias by sportswriters for a century

Kentucky (Transylvania College) gave us the first southern football game
Sewanne (Tennessee) gave us the Iron Men in the 1800's
Centre (Kentucky) gave us the greatest upset in CFB
Centre (Kentucky) also gave TAMU their 12th man
Vanderbilt (Tennesse) was the draw at the State Fair in TX
Rose Bowl was showcase for southern football before WW II

The South (especially the Deep South) became born again hard for all the disrespect even when they were winning. This was magnified after WW II and the south was shut out of the Rose Bowl. Piled on that was one mans iron grip fist on the NCAA in the 50's, 60's and 70's that promoted the B1G and PAC till finally Oklahoma and Georgia had to go to the Supreme Court and bust the monopoly.

From the beginning CFB has been a regional sport, but going for a National Champion exposed the Midwest and West Coast when they could no longer stack the deck in their favor. Because CFB is regional it chaps the advertisers and sportswriters when they can not win in a fair fight.

SEC domination is impressive but threatens the health of the sport.

Depends on what part of PA.

From State College and west(west of the mountains) is the Midwest. Especially the Greater Pittsburgh area

Everything east of Harrisburg is the NE.

I think that is fair. Some people only consider New England the "Northeast". (New Englanders, mostly.)

The rest of the country(aside from the Big Ten) needs to be better. Simple as that.

Yeah my family is from Western PA, I grew up here, hence my handle, and Pittsburgh is definitely a Midwestern town.

Geez only 6 states in 17 years. In 2020 it was only 5 states.

Pittsburgh is the “Paris” of Appalachia. Definitely a different vibe in SW PA and certainly not Midwestern. The Southeastern Ohio, Southwestern PA, Western Maryland corridor is Appalachian. North of Butler county in Western PA and you can call that Midwestern.

Nah. Everyone outside of New England and some states in NE pretty much loves college football. Obviously biggest in SE and Midwest tho.

I'll disagree. Yes Pittsburgh is the capital of Appalachia but the culture is definitely Midwestern and that goes for all of SW/Western PA. Pittsburgh is the gateway to the Midwest.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, five generations deep from the region. We’re not midwestern and would never claim to be.
