16 of the last 17 by these 5 states

Alabama - 7 (Alabama 6, Auburn 1)
Florida - 3 (Florida 2, Florida State 1)
Georgia - 2 (Georgia 2)
Louisiana - 2 (LSU 2)
South Carolina - 2 (Clemson 2)

That's pretty unbelievable

And people wonder why the rest of country cares less and less about college football. It's becoming very mucb a regional sport. Sad but true.

Mississippi needs to connect the dots. That gap makes us feel like western outliers.

You would think California, with 40 million people, and Texas, with 30 million people, would have juggernauts. Cali just doesn't care about college football and Texas is a clusterfrick, but still.

Best football in the country has been in the Southeastern portion of the country since about the 80's-90's(?) I think?

Even then Tennessee, Miami, FSU, Florida. It's been an incredible run.

This - nobody really cares about CFB, except people living in SEC country (incl Oklahoma) and parts of Big10 country… and maybe Oregon and the USCw campus area

So everyone but the Northeast and the West Coast, basically?

Because the plains states absolutely care about college football (Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, the Dakotas) along with all of the Midwest (B1G country) and the Southeast (including Texas).
