Seriously? We've already strung together 5.

Must be your age. Figures. You'd have been twelve when we started that run of five appearances.

When were you born, 3 years ago? English, please.

Nope, I am old and about blind. I can't see or type well anymore, deal with it or block me. Besides, I was trying to eat lunch in front of my laptop. I really was trying to get back to that roast potatoes and gravy.

I think the 12 playoff is a good idea, you don't.

The world is not ending just because something is changing.

Playoffs happen all the way down to High School, why can't they happen in College as well? They do in everything but D1. Why? The bowl system drove things.

Now that the bowls are losing viewers due to opt outs and the playoffs, they want a bigger piece of the pie.

All your NY6 bowls will get a playoff game now.

My only tweak to conference play would be teams play 10 game season...

You've been following college football for literally no more than six months if you think the 80-100 teams who would never sniff a 12 team playoff even in your children's lifetimes are going to cut 2 games from their schedules...and all that revenue...just so the 20 elite teams can have a better shot at the playoffs.

Wake Forest. Purdue. South Carolina. MTSU. FAU. Rice. Etc. Etc. Etc. Etc. 80-100 teams aren't cutting 2 games from their schedules to benefit the elites.

if you are as old as you say, then you have lived through plenty of times when UT would have made a 4 team playoff

Exactly, division 2 and 3 football do playoffs. I don't see what everyone is upset about

Are you completely unaware that D-II and D-III only play 10 game schedules?

How do plan to pay for all the others sports teams at the barn that are losing money if you cut 2 football games.

I am all for expanding the playoffs but not with a bye for top seeds. It is beyond stupid they act like there is no data out there for playoffs

Here's the problem: In the last 10 seasons, Alabama has twice played in the national title game against an SEC champion while playing one less game than that champion did.

Why should there be such a tangible benefit for not winning a conference championship?

I'm not sold on the expanded playoff, because it cheapens the impact of the regular season overall. But, I'm not nearly as against the idea of having a bye for those teams that have played the best in the regular season.
