Congrats to State. Unlikely that we'll sweep Ole Miss. So all they need to do is beat Arkansas, and they're SEC champs.

Ole Miss has got to get Stokes and Short in to pitch today. Try to somehow survive the first 3 innings with Chad Smith on the mound. then go 3 innings with Stokes, and the last 3 with Short...and try to somehow score some runs along the way.

Simonds had two complete games in a row but struggled last week and only went 2.1. I imagine if he struggles again we'll see Vines in long relief.
And I'll guess that Ecker would close if it came to that. The rest of our pen is hit and miss and obviously Vinson won't come back today.

I think coach Bianco has to have a short leash on Smith. the first 2 games have been basically decided by big innings early( 5 RUN 5TH and 6 RUN 3rd). if we can limit the big inning, we have a slim chance....you guys should add Tate Blackman(our second baseman) to your Christmas Card list for this year. that error in the 3rd was the difference in a 3-0 Ole Miss lead after 3, to a 6-3 A&M lead...could have went to the wire if a friggin routine play is made.
