Looks about right to me. That UT game could be a tossup, being in Nashville, but I still think the Vols should roll. Franklin left that program in shambles, but I think they made a good hire and am looking forward to what he can do going forward.

Because why not. They'll disappoint somewhere and knock down someone. I'll say they beat Florida, lose to Mississippi State.
This could have been their break-out year but Franklin left. I think Mason will need a season, maybe 2 before Vandy can get really good.

Anywhere from 5-7 wins.
For the OM and MU fans, I threw the toss up next to your name (as well as ours) because of Masons ability to shut down the spread offenses. I don't think it will happen with a first year scheme change and the fact they lost everything they had on Offense. But, they still may present some challenges this year for those type of offenses. Not to say I think they'll put up a lot of points on them/us, because I don't. But, they may prove to be a challenge going forward.

I don't think it being in Nashville will matter. That's Neyland West to us. Vol fans will fill it up as we always do.
The question will be how well Vandy's D has progressed with a switch to 3-4 and whether they have anything on offense. I like Mason so far but yeah, Franklin burnt their house down pretty good on his way out the door.

The defense should be pretty good, but they've got to take a step back offensively losing Matthews and breaking in a new quarterback.

Granted, but it will still be the players playing on an unfamiliar field in an unfamiliar stadium, staying at a place that isn't their home turf. Performance in away games has more to do with the strangeness of the surroundings than the familiarity of the faces in the stands.

Aren't they switching to a 3-4 this year? That has potential to be a trainwreck.

I can see what you're saying there. You know where all the potholes are on your own field. Many our kids though are from Tennessee some from Middle TN and one or two decided to switch schools late in the process after Franklin left so they're familiar with Vanderbilt and its field. Even our own players have played at Vandy's clinics and gone to meets and stuff like that there.

Vandy is on a streak vs UT. Last year was the first time they won consecutive games against UT since 1926. Hard to believe that at one time, Vanderbilt led the series 19-2-2
