It seems like LSU switches out their OC every other year.

And nothing ever changes, why would this NFL cast off be any different?

The Ravens were incapable of reaching their potential until he was let go, hopefully he doesn't hold LSU back in the same way.

I genuinely like to see the purple and yellow shine, but this just seems like a terrible hire, as always jmho.

And good luck to everyone this season.

We'll soon find out. The good news is, he can't be any worse than the play calling last year and we still won 10 games

Jed, you can only hope Tennessee is in such dire straits as LSU is.

Your trolling is really weak. I think even killz has surpassed you.

If Telefawx has some spare time, maybe he can give you some tips

Agreed. The LSU fans who are singing Cam's praises are also the ones who are quick to tell me that nothing will change and it will be the same offense as always.

I don't get it. I just don't get it.

It's hard for any competent OC to tolerate the genius of Les Miles for an extended period of time.

Wrong.

Gary Crowton was OC at LSU for four years from 2007-2010.
Steve Kragthorpe was hired before the 2011 season, but was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease, so he was moved to QBs coach and Offensive Admin. Assistant to
OL coach Greg Studrawa, who was named interim OC. It remained a dual role function for 2011 and 2012 due to Krathorpe's illness.

Since Cam Cameron was hired in February, Studrawa has gone back to the full-time OL Coach and Kragthorpe remains in an Adminsitrtive Offensive Assistant capacity.

So:

Crowton - Four seasons '07-'10

Kragthorpe - One spring '11, relegated to QB coach and offensive assistant due to illness -
Two seasons, starting third in '13.

Studrawa - Two seasons '11-'12, has moved back to OL Coach in '13.

Cameron - Starting first season in '13.

Refer to the Cam Cameron thread, where it is proven beyond a reasonable doubt how he is terrible.

None of us can understand the mind of Les Miles. It would baffle Sigmund Frued.

But he wins.

Here's a clue:

When you average 11 wins a year over 8 years with the same basic offensive philosophy, you don't look for radical changes, you merely try to tweak the offensive to get just a little bit more out of it.

With Chavis' consistency on 3rd down I hope LSU keeps him.

It's a total game philosophy, Offense and Defense. Whoever the OC is, they're going to run Miles' offense. Whoever the OC is at Bama will run Saban's offense. The Offense must compliment the Defense.
