If it was possible today, would you trade Gene Chizik for Les Miles?

Nah. I like Gene, he's a cool cat.

It's not like Miles was tearing it up prior to moving to LSU, where the program was already established with no real rivals to recruit against.

No, and I realize that I'll be the minority. My reasoning is that both recruit at a very high level, and both rely on great hires to field successful programs. About the only coach I would take over Chizik at this point in time is Saban. I'd take Spurrier if he was about 5 years younger.

Not a joke. I'm just not sure what either one really does.

I do get the vibe that Gene is probably more hands on, though.

He certainly has the record to prove it. Chizik's resume as a HC and DC is much more impressive than mullens.

Besides win most of the football games he coaches and surround himself by good assistants and recruit like hell?

He coaches y'all to an egg bowl victory every year or whatever y'all call the game

That's great. He still hasn't beat chizik and won't this year

I don't always choose a coach out of three candidates...but when I do, I choose the one who's winless vs. the other two.

Mullins must love the fact that Miss. State fans will always be content with 6-6 and 7-5 seasons as long as he beats Ole Miss. He could never beat any other school in his division and they would still say he is the best coach other than Saban. After all the built in excuse will always be there that he just doesn't have the talent or facilities that the other schools in the division has. He really can do no wrong. He has the option of having a cushy job with little to no pressure for the next 20 years or on the other time he could leave at any time and head to greener pastures. Man has it made.
