actually....Saban was so disliked within the Athletic Department that had he stayed and had another season like '04 we would've been looking elsewhere.

LMAO @ other fans telling us how we felt

You wanted Saban fired after he brought LSU a NC?

I don't ever remember seeing that from your fans.

I do however, distinctly recall many LSU folks that wanted Les' arse run out on a rail. And that was as recent as July 2010 - only two years ago.

This may be true - I don't know what the LSU Athletic Dept felt about Saban.

I distinctly remember that YOU were one of the very, very vocal LSU posters on the rant that stood behind Miles the entire time your brethern were wanting him gone. Do you remember exchanges with Nuts4LSU?

You were one of very few LSU fans that was the voice of reason for a ton of Miles bashers. Good for you for standing by a dang good coach, even in the face of adversity. You are to be commended.

You stood your ground and proved all the nay-sayers wrong.

I didn't have much input in those Rant threads back then being an outsider. But, I never could understand the rationale of kicking a good coach with a proven/winning record to the curb.

I remember a time when the damn media members appeared to be getting their talking points from the Tiger Ranters that wanted Miles gone.

Even Les addressed it in a presser mid-season in '09. LSU was 5-0 going into the FLA game and his own fanbase wanted him hanged.

after beating UF in 2010...

“Well, they didn’t like us too much when we were 5-0, so we’ll see now if they like us at 6-0.” - Les Miles

I know plenty of LSU fans here in Shreveport that want Miles gone ASAP. Why?

Because they cant get over Saban and what he is doing at Bama. I actually won money off of LSU fans last November by taking LSU to beat Bama. I have gotten into heated arguments over Miles and whether he is a good coach or not. Many fans in Lousiana think anybody can win at LSU- and they can do alot better than Miles.

Lea shut a lot of people up after beating Bama in 2010. 99% of the fanbase has been behind him since.

Fact. That was the first time in a while we saw LSU just play their asses off and played like they couldn't lose.

I totally agree- I'm just basing it off of friends, parties, and functions that I attend. I meet more people that want Miles gone than those that appreciate what he is doing at LSU.

I do agree that there has been some change since the Bama game in 2010- but the flop in the Dome didnt help with alot of those people that had just climbed back on board.

But, that ill will towards Saban that might have occured in his early years in no way compares to the angst your fanbase felt for Les Miles "AFTER" he won a freaking national title for y'all.

Yeah you have no idea what you're talking about.

Only the most brain damaged dim witted idiotic LSU fans wanted Saban gone during or after the 2002 season just like the most brain damaged dim witted idiotic LSU fans still want Miles gone.

I finally agree with something you posted.

It wasn't just Les beating Bama that pulled LSU fans back over to the his good side. The fact that he beat FLA helped as well, since he had lost to both teams + UGA the prior two years.

Les did not have a very good '08 showing coming off a NC year. He was forgiven for that season due to QB issues. Bama running the table in '09 didn't help Les' popularity either. But his turn around in '10 swayed the opinions back in his favor. And last season speaks for itself, he had his best year ever in '11.

Why in the world would Les feel the need to make such a statement?
