I know I’m drinking the Kool-Aid and I’m thinking about the Rich Rodriguez of old.... but I love the way Scottie runs and with Ealy could compliment him has me excited. I’m having flashbacks to Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown for Dolphins.

I know that three people are being replaced on the other line but I just have a feeling that’s going to click for some reason man and I think that the running game is really going to be fantastic and I think it’s going to surprise a lot of people who haven’t seen a good run game in quite a long time.

Not to mention Matt Corral can run as well and I’m excited for John Rhys Plumlee as well. With the quarterbacks in the running back’s and the wide receivers that we have miles battle etc. I think that there’s going to be potential to rip off some really big place and just have a steady pace on offense for a while that gives the defense a chance to breathe and I’m pretty fricking ecstatic.

Course none of this could come to fruition and we could be absolutely terrible but I don’t know I’m pretty optimistic and I’m actually pretty excited for the season I know that some of the Fanbase won’t ever be excited with Matt Luke as our coach and I’m not necessarily a fan of his myself but I think that we could potentially be pretty decent this year 6-6 to 8-4. I’m going to go out on a limb and say that Scottie and Ealy both rush for 1000.

The only thing that could make that not happen in my opinion is if we spread the ball around Way more than I think we will.

Scottie getting to 1k is at least 60-40 I hope. Ealy 600-700 and hopefully meaningful contributions from the other guys as well. O-line gonna have to do its job. The part about giving the defense a break and keeping them off the field is the linch pin for our season. Plain and simple. I absolutely feel like we will be an overall better team than last year and hopefully that equates to one more victory and a bowl. Beat Arkansas, SE Louisiana, California, Vandy, New Mexico St. and either Memphis or State (preferably both) and I will be completely satisfied. Sorry if I offend some of you who expect a whole lot more this season.

I don’t envision being as run heavy as a lot of other folks do. We have a lot of WR talent and a QB with a live arm. Not to mention an OL with more experience in pass heavy schemes. I think Scottie gets 1k though, not sure about the back ups

Take off the red and blue glasses and be realistic for a minute. We have a severe lack of depth at all levels of the roster. We aren’t going 6-6 to 8-4.

Sensible. It’s all going to come down to the offensive line. If we get injuries there Ealy on , it’s going to be a long year. I will do something after this post to punish myself accordingly for that pun. Anyways, I feel like our offensive line traditionally has bad luck with injuries and nagging issues. Time will tell.

It’ll all depend how the line holds up. If the O-Line holds up well, I could see Phillips getting a little over 1000 and Ealy getting about 400 give or take a 100.

If Phillips is healthy I don't see a way he won't hit 1000. As long as Phillips is healthy, I don't really see Ealy running enough to get high rushing numbers. I do however seeing him have an unreal amount of receiving yards for a RB.

Rich Rod's schemes use a lot of pass catching for quick guys in space, AKA Ealy, Moore, Knight, maybe even Woullard. The guys I imagine getting the down field routes is gonna be Sanders, Battles, Drummond and maybe a freshman

If we could somehow use a few of the swing passes and screen plays the saints use with Alvin K I think Ealy could be that change of pace type back.

I agree. He's too good to not get touches, but with a back as good as Phillips I would much rather him get most of the runs and let Ealy have a year to grow before being the work horse.

I’m hoping Ealy has the type of immediate X factor play like Laquon Treadwell did... A young threat that defenses have to keep tabs on constantly, opening up opportunities for other players. Put him in the slot on some plays! Watching an interview with him, he seems like a mature guy who is ready to go. I do expect to see a lot of split touches. I mean, are there really any modern offenses that hinge on one guy getting 75%+ of touches? It seems like these guys are here today and gone yesterday. DK’s career seemed like such a flash at Ole Miss but that’s likely because he was often sidelined with injuries. I hope we use the hell out of Ealy.

I just hope the defense is looking to stop the run game and leave us some big play potential over the top.

The experience is on the defensive side of the ball, plenty of athletes and speed. I hope Mac can make them into real landsharks this season. The last 3 seasons have been pitiful on the defensive side of the ball. I can count two games each season we could have won if we had played mediocre SEC defense in those games.

I like the coaching staff set up. I think having Mac and Richrod owning the offense and defense will be an improvement.

All I know is this, since they banned me from RedCupRebellion we haven't had a winning season. I guess I was right and they were wrong. Will the curse continue, they did it to themselves.
