Does the way this year ended suck? You bet.
But the fire Kiffin, sky is falling group are the equivalent of the sky screamers when they don’t get there way.

Agreed that anybody who utters the words “fire Kiffin” right now is ignorant. That said, that crowd is a minute fraction of our fan base.

I think you're right and I also know that my other thread was misread as I if I was part of that fire Kiffin crowd. I'm certainly not. I was merely asking because I have seen these knuckleheads mouth off so much that I felt like asking the board's opinion. I'm glad to see that most people are level-headed. He's taken us to a place that I'm happy to be in; competing to be the best of the best. We've never really had that kind of effort.
Now Kiffin is finally talking up Oxford and Ole Miss and saying he loves it here, wouldn't take an NFL job over this place and feels like he can win here. Those are great words of committment from him.
I'm still all in. I was mainly hoping that most people weren't over-reacting. Hell, we are 13 points from being undefeated.

Us being upset about not playing for a national championship sustaining them while their program is in the state it’s in truly shows the power dynamic in the rivalry. It’s funny to watch them celebrate while they are going 2-9 and getting their backs blown out by Toledo

Kind of reminds me how MSU's defense was down by 19 and jawing off to Mizzou. Drink yelled at them, "Mississippi State, STFU or I will score again."

This is not a melt. Losing to LSU then having Laquon break his leg and fumble against AU in 2014 was a melt. 4th and 25 was a melt. I think most saw that after Kentucky we weren’t going to get there it is funny however that ole miss finds new ways to rip your soul out.

It’s a measure of the state our program is in when people are calling what is likely to be a 9-3 regular season a disaster

Well and let’s face it, each of our three losses are gut wrenching. They all went down to the absolute wire and not a single one needless to say was a situation where we were like “well we didn’t deserve to win… they were just better.” In fact, just the opposite was true. 9-3 or not, it was the ultimate piss it away. We have trailed for 8 minutes total all season and here we sit with three losses.

Ole Miss has lost all one score games this year. Simple fact is a good team wins one score games. There’s not a lot of great teams this year. OM had every chance to be one of them.

I don't know how anyone could care what state's fan's opinions are. I'm more pissed we couldn't make the playoff before LsU. I really think it's time to move on from thinking of state as anything more than another team in the sec. There's a section of their fan base that would pick Saturday as their favorite sport's memory of the last decade. Not the baseball championship or a big win, but just us missing out on the playoff. If the sec only has 1 permanent rival I hope we can push for it to be lsu.

I really don't care about MSU one way or another. I'm not a "hate State" guy. I just find them entirely irrelevant and, like you say, just another SEC team. The only team that I really have a true dislike for is Tennessee, because their fans are insufferable ignorant douchebags.

I’m so sick of Ole Miss. Saturday really crushed me in a way I hadn’t felt in many years and I thought I had gotten past that emotional immaturity. And then I was there in Baton Rouge to watch that bad shitting in person. We’re cursed and I can’t figure out how it can be undone. Like I mean legitimately cursed, and if anyone has any inside info on exactly what the spell was and who was involved I’d like to know.

Nah. Not cursed. Our program (back in the 60’s I know) has been at an elite level before and we are climbing our way back there. It takes consistent support over decades from the fans, boosters and administration to demand more than mediocrity. We dealt with that after Archie until the 2010’s and we now have an administration and fanbase that aren’t just ok winning 7-8 games a year. They want more instead of just laughing and saying that stupid shite phrase “wE aInT eVeR lOsT a PaRtY!!!”

Nah, it obviously GOT cursed sometime in the mid 60s. I used to jokingly refer to it as the curse of James Meredith, but it might be just that, though I hesitate to say it outright because he’s a nice guy who loves the school.
But someone back then cursed us. I wonder if there’s a time limit on it, or if there’s a curse breaker spell out there somewhere. Someone has to know something.
